The one thing that everyone here seems to agree with is that the Miami O-Line stinks. Carolina brings one of the top D-lines in the league (even without Jenkins) and features 3 players who have combined for 37.5 sacks over the past 2 years. So, what do you think will be (or should be) the gameplan to contain Peppers and Rucker? Also Steve Smith is a bigger, faster WR than Coles. How do the Fins keep him in check?

as with any agressive D, you use that against them by running misdirection, screens and draws.

i think the best thing to do with smith is NOT let him get deep. force him to catch the ball underneath and take some hits trying to get YAC. i don't think any wrs his size enjoy catching the underneath passes and trying to avoid LBs.

They will keep madison on Steve Smith with help from the free safety... that will keep smith in check. Anymore??;)

i think the fins should attack peppers the way the jets used to attack Taylor

they would run 2 or 3 variations of the same play all right at taylor. sometimes a run, sometimes a pass to martin, othertimes a backside screen. each variation took taylor right out of the play

First of all lets get it strait that not everyone agrees that we have a week line. We have given up only 2 sacks in 2 games. That the best in the league and we are ave. 4.8 yards per carrie, if you take ronnie out of the picture. That actually says ronnie is learning and we have managed to have a pretty decent O-line. Anyone who says we have a bad O-line has not seen the same games I have.

To your other points, Carolina has OUTSTANDING DE's, but are a little soft in the middle, which is where we need to attack them with Morris and Chatman (yes Chatman). We need to use Ronnie in a Fullback/TE/Flanking WR to get the ball to him beyond the defensive line of the Panthers and let him work in the open field with the ball. THen in the mid-3rd to 4th quarter put him as the main back and pound the tired D with Ronnie. Spread the D out until late in the game and let Booker, Brown, and Mcmike overpower their defensive backs.

On D fairly simple, play a cover 2 to stop Smith (but play it correctly and stay deeper than him) Have 1 of the two safeties play a shadow zone on Smith basically allowing for him to stay deeper and about 15 yards off Smith and watch the QB, if the ball goes in the direction of smith jump the route for the pic or lay smith out EVERY PLAY.

Stop the run with our disciplined Lb's who have been very succesfull doing so thus far into the season.

If we execute this plan I strongly beleive we will win and look impressive while doing so.

Not a bad theory but, assuming J Taylor is = to Peppers, do you believe that you have a back that can fill the roll of a Curtis Martin?

Damn, bro! They should hire you as an assistant. Maybe the would have beat the Jets.

There is one little problem. They aren't that 'soft' in the middle. They have big a physical DT Buckner who takes up blockers and allows LBs to flow up into gaps and DEs to chase down plays from the back side. I might remind you that the Pats only managed a pathetic 39 yards rushing against that soft middle.

Ohh, Ohh, I know, I know...

What is Punt on every 1st down and let our D score!

Darn, thats not correct???

Ok, then I quess we have our boys suit up and knock the snot out of their boys on both sides of the ball and the team that scores the most points wins.

The panther fans admit it they are soft againt TE's. What we should do is keep putting ronnnie on the line as a receiver. Him and Mcmike shoud keep them busy enough that they forget booker or chambers, then WHAM a 70 yard TD drop.... They will never expect it.

I say convince them that we're trying to establish the run and control the clock with a few runs and "Dink and Dunk" passes and maybe a couple screens and then punch'em right in the GNIKCUF mouth and open it up with Chambers,Boston, and Welker. And don't be shy about using Randy.

One things for sure we need to get Ronnie more involved and with a great degree of success in this game. So I say start off with some play action and hit him coming out of the backfield to loosen up those LBs. How about a FAKE reverse because Miami has used that play in both of their game and Carolina might just be looking for that play, then hit'em deep!!

no, not even close. but these are play brown can make as a reciever and i think the fins need to get him in space, so it could work.

I've only seen Fox surprised and out coached once (Jeff Fisher), so don't get the idea that the Dolphins can somehow catch the Panthers unaware with trick plays or misdirection.

We are one of the most disciplined, well-coached teams in the NFL. You beat us by exploiting match-ups, not by being cute.
