on the road in nov/dec with huge playoff implications. in the tanny era it seems like anytime we have a big road game later in the year that would move us from pretender to legit contender we lose. i can only remember 1 game like this we won, at pittsburgh in the snow in 2013. even his rookie year we had a big game at indy in november that we lost. 2013 we had the win at pittsburgh but of course lost at buffalo that would have got us in playoffs. 2014 we had big road games in november at detroit and denver and lost them both. and got killed at new england in december. last year we never really had a "big" game but any chance we had of making things interesting was done after getting killed at buffalo in november.

can we finally get a big road win in november???

It's time for him to take the next step.
I'm on the fence if we see him next year...
He needs to play better in the 2nd half of the season.

Not like circumstances have changed at all in those different years.... ok

In the Tannehill era huh?

So I guess we are due, and will be 1-0 in these type games in the Gase Era...After all, it has been a while since we had a consistent O-line like we have now, with a Running back that seems to be the new beast of the east.

This game is definitely a defining moment for him, personally. I don't think he's always gotten a lot of help from his teammates and he's taken the brunt of the criticism, while he has made mistakes I still think his talent is unquestionable.

Having Ajayi run wild is great but sooner or later he will need a 350 yard, 4 TD game to carry us to a win.

It's well known I don't think tannehill is a franchise qb and is very replaceable.

But I think he will have a big game vs SD. I just do.

He's had very little to do the last 3 weeks. Defense and run game did most of the work. Special teams saved him last week from having to win it in the 4th quarter.

He probably won't have those luxuries this week, and Gase knows it, and he knows it. He should be pretty well prepared to let it sling this week.

We still playing the time for the next big step card?

Yep, I remember how Tannehill lost us the game in Denver all on his own. :sarcon:

There are caveats. If Miami loses 45-42, that's not on Tannehill (unless he throws 3 picks). That said, I see this game as needing a wide open O. Nothing conservative. Tannehill will have to be a big contributor (if the pass rush holds up).

Three wins in a row is really nice! But how bout four? That would be crazy!

He has still not done very well in the important QB statistics despite great oline play; 3rd down, 4th quarter, Red Zone. Going up against a team with a franchise QB and a very hot RB. Gonna be a tough win. Should tell us a lot more about this team. TH needs to step it up, im not holding my breath.

That was the game I thought tannehill was finally turning the corner and becoming a franchise qb.

That's also the game I thought of when I predicted tannehill would have a big game this week. But I didn't predict he Would win because I cant ever bet against Rivers in a shoot out with Tannehill. Especially the way Rivers is playing this year.

Somehow he's getting better despite his arm getting weaker, and he really might be at a level where he sees the field Pre snap as good as peyton did.
