I know its way too early to talk Super Bowl and it was only one win. But found an interesting stat that bodes well for Miami.

The Patriots are seldom out of games at the end. Whether it be the refs, Brady's 4th quarter play or whatever they are always in it until the end even when they loose. But Miami's double digit win took the end of game Patriots miracles away.

In the last 55 games dating back to 2011 season the Patriots have only been beaten 3 times by double digits. Both of the previous teams that defeated the Patriots by double digit went on to make it to the Super Bowl.

2012 Baltimore beats New England 28-13 and goes on to win Super Bowl
2013 Denver beats New England 26-16 and goes on to lose Super Bowl
2014 Miami beats New England 33-20 and ?

The previous 2 drubbings came at the end of the season in the playoffs so it may be a bit early to start celebrating.
But one can hope.

I thought NE beat Denver in the regular season last year. Huge comeback!

Anyway we need to see a lot more. While NE was an offseason darling (as always) we really don't know how good they are. I read a thread on here from someone that made some good points as to why he didn't think NE is very good. What was really encouraging is if NE really is the team to beat we beat them while leaving a ton of plays on the field. We easily cold have hung a 40 burger on the Pats with a couple better throws and guys being more careful with the football. Great win.

Super Bowl is obviously way too premature to even discuss. However, the way we played, I have a tough time believing any game is out of reach. Can we beat the Seahawks? The broncos? I don't know. But I also don't think we would get blown out in those games either. If we keep it up, playoffs are certainly looking good

take a deep breath, hold it, and release.

It is one game and as much as I would love to say yes, it is waaaaaaaaaay to early to even think about it. I am just going to enjoy this week, and bathe in the tears of all my Patriot friends up here in New Hampshire hahaha

Broncos paid them back in the AFC Championship game.

Did anyone read my fist line in the OP?

Just an interesting stat.

Pump the breaks. People were saying the same thing after the 3-0 start last season.

1 game at a time...

We beat New England last year and proceeded to lose the next two. We will be fortunate if we go to Buffalo and win. One game at a time.

Win our second toughest home game vs the Packers and we could be looking at 8-0 at SunLife. Raiders should be 9-0. Win this week @Buffalo 10-0. Our path to the SB is a first round bye and some homefield advantage which would probably take about 12 wins, maybe 13. The one game that could pave our way to the SB could be that Denver game, that game could be our ticket to the number one seed and homefield throughout.

This is ridiculous. Just enjoy watching the Dolphins and not get carried away like this ever again.

Didn't take long for this one...
