I thought this would be interesting. I compiled a list of every Super Bowl winning quarterback this decade. I then took a look at the year they each took over as a starting quaterback. I thought it would be interesting to see how Chad Henne stacks up against the other guys.
I have some thoughts on this, but I wanted to get it out there first:

Player Year Team QB rating Win %

Trent Dilfer 1995 Tampa Bay Buccanears 60.1 43%
Tom Brady 2001 New England Patriots 86.5 78%
Brad Johnson 1996 Minnesota Vikings 89.4 63%
Ben Rothlisberger 2004 Pittsburgh Steelers 98.1 100%
Peyton Manning 1998 Indianapolis Colts 71.2 18%
Eli Manning 2004 New York Giants 55.4 14%

Now for our guy

Chad Henne 2009 Miami Dolphins 74.4 58%

*Notes
-Henne is the only qb who's team made the playoffs the year before they took over

-Dilfer and Peyton are the only ones who started all 16 games

-The Manning brothers and Rothlisberger were the only rookies

-Henne, Brady and Dilfer were in their second seasons

-Johnson was in his 3rd season

-Henne, Dilfer and the Mannings were the only ones without a pro bowl wide receiver that year. (Both Mannings had pro bowl running backs)

Looks like he lands in the middle of all of those guys. sounds good to me.
Avg win percentage = 52.7
Avg passer rating = 76.8

Chad Henne 2009 Miami Dolphins 74.4 & 58%

So he basically lands in the middle. I like it.

Yeah that's pretty much what I was going to say. He's right in there in the middle of the pack. I was actually pretty surprised at how well Brad Johnson did in his first year, but I remembered that they were a dynamic offense with Chris Carter Jake Reed and Robert Smith.
Also, Rothlisberger and Brady were highly praised in their first years as being the exception, not the rule.

Henne looks damn good..I will concurr..

I beilieve in him..

He has some trouble with deep throws..and some touch throws..but I think we hit on him..

His Ints have come at the end of games when he was under pressure and teams knew we were throwing..
But he also was great at the end of games too..PATS game.. 4th down a few times..1st jets game..Bucs game..Gamming winning drive...

So I Def like where he is at..

He is Big and Strong..Takes a licking and keeps on ticking..

And think idiots were saying Pat White or Even Thigpen would compete for his job next year..

Yea right
