My fault for saying it was completely off...this was secondhand news from my mother-in-law

Not your fault; the initial reports on these things are always exaggerated. Besides, you might end up being right (I sure hope not).

I sure hope I turn out to be wrong.

As do I. Depending on where the hole is and the wind strength, the wind could blow through the hole and start lifting off more sections. Again, I hope and pray that this doesn't happen.

benson must be happy cause now he gets a new stadium at the expense of this awful hurricane.

What do you mean Whatever! I heard there where 10 thousand people in there.

I believe he was doubting the validity of the story... not the importance of the event if it was true.

They have a live picture of the causeway which is a long bridgeroad leading into New Orleans across Lake Ponchatrain and the water is level with the causeway and the causeway is rocking in the high waves. They are probably going to lose the causeway.

I was thinking the same thing. Just reinforces his thoughts that the superdome is a sub par facility.

Not to downplay the impact on the people at all, but you present an interesting point. If the damages are severe, what happens to the Saints?
