Just makes no sense. The offensive line is horrendous and Tunsil is the one piece the team has. Plus, he's already probably a top 5 left tackle in this league and that's a position you pay to keep if you have a good one.

I wonder if he just isn't Flores' type of player. That's really the only scenario where I could see trading a young left tackle whose already probably top five in the league. If it's a work ethic kind of thing that could work against Tunsil. That said, it seem foolish on the surface to trade a player of his talent at a position where you pay to keep good talent.

Dude has this cheap 4th year and a second level lower 5th year option as well in 2020.

Not saying i am for or against trading tunsil but, i ask you (and everyone) if tunsil was on another team right now and that team offered him to us for 2 first round pics, would you want ross and grier to do it?

Us? No. He isn't moving the needle on a team Like ours to convert us into a legit contender. Not to mention it is a high probability it turns into top 10 picks.

A team like NE or Houston, that have a glaring hole at the position responsible for the QB blindside and are legit contenders if their QBs stay healthy . . .two mid to late 20s pick don't seem like a bad proposition to get a LT with a cheap year and a reasonable 5th year And is only 25 and relatively healthy for 3 years.
 
I want the first overall pick next year and I'm not even sure I'm on board with tunsil being traded. But hear me out, maybe they don't value LT because our next QB is gonna be left handed.............

Report: Jadeveon Clowney trade in 48 hours will it be Miami Dolphins?

According to a report by NFL insider Michael Lombardi, the trade for Jadeveon Clowney will or could come in the next 24-48 hours but the question remains, who will that mystery team be?

Lombardi says that the Texans are looking for a wide-receiver to pair with DeAndre Hopkins. If the Dolphins are involved, they can check this box. They have a plethora of talented receivers that could be moved in a trade for the defensive end.

Lombardi says that teams are trying to talk with Clowney about a new deal. He currently doesn’t have one and this means that without him signing his franchise tag, a new team will have to negotiate a deal with him and he will also have some control over which team he is traded to.

Miami could offer a mid-round draft pick and one or even two of their receivers if they wanted to. DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, and even Albert Wilson could be potential tradeable receivers. None of those three would be worthy of a straight up trade but packaged correctly they could make an offer.
 
Tunsil for Clowney is a joke, lets be honest about that.

Tunsil is a future12 year LT who isnt any problem whatsoever. Sorry this is a guy you build around.

Clowney, well he has talent, but he really isn't a guy I feel comfortable building around. Trade Stills for him ok....but not a core player like Tunsil, our best LT since Webb.

Sorry, got to disagree on new england. When have the billicheck pats EVDR given up 2 1st round pics for a player? Or paid huge dollars (see nate solder recently). They dont pay o-line big bux because tom brady reads defenses so well he gets the ball out fast. He doesnt need pro bowl linemen across the board in front of him and billicheck knows what he's looking for in his players on draft day of free agency. They could have EASILY kept nate as there payroll is flexable. So i would toss the pats in this discussion.

But i would love to see this board when announced we are giving up 2 1st round pics for an o-lineman, even if it's is a left tackle. Any time there is real talent hitting the trade or release or free agent announcment, it's followed up here with lot's of fans saying, "sure, if we don't have to give up pic's or pay him a big salary". I don't see many, if any being on board giving 2 1st round pics plus the huge salary for tunsil or anyone else but an in his prime true franchise qb. And many would still balk i believe.
 
I think it’s safe to stop talking about Tunsil being traded.

I know we’re looking for something to talk about but this is the most manufactured rumor I’ve seen quite awhile.

CLEARLY the Dolphins aren’t trading their best offensive player.
