I was surprised that FC Dallas played Chivas de Guadalajara so well. In fact they put on a bunch of pressure once they got down to 10 players.

LA is playing Pachuca right now and it's been a pretty good game, but both teams seem to have problems getting shots on goal.

I really like this idea and hope it's a success so we can see this every year.

LA Galaxy 2-1 Pachuca in the 84th minute.

Now that was surprising to me... I am thinking the mexican teams came into it half assing it because they where playing the MLS... it will take a time before they take them seriously.

Tomorrow it is America - Houston and Morelia - DC United

(by the way there are rumours that Veron would be coming to the US to play for DC that is La Brujita Veron from Argentina)

Houston 1 - 0 America in the 83rd......I missed the DC United game earlier. :(

Almost 2-0 right there but he was about 2 steps offsides on that one, just a hair beyond the ball.

Houston 1 - 0 America Final

After the opening matches, here's how the standings look:

Code:
[FONT="Fixedsys"]Group A
TEAM W L T PTS
LA Galaxy 1 0 0 3
CD Guadalajara 0 0 1 1
FC Dallas 0 0 1 1
CF Pachuca 0 1 0 0

Group B
TEAM W L T PTS
Houston Dynamo 1 0 0 3
D.C. United 0 0 1 1
Monarcas Morelia 0 0 1 1
Club América 0 1 0 0[/FONT]

wow we are doing bad here. I have the feeling the mexican teams did not take this one seriously.

Link??

Wow. Remember what I posted on the Copa America thread back at the beginning of July. It was a rumor that a unnamed Argentinian player said he might come and play in the U.S. ...now this wasn't know to be factual or just light chit chat. Either way, it looks like I was right :)

I am afraid I aint got a link. A friend of mine that is a huge Red Bull fan told me this. He is obviously not happy (DC and Red Bull are rivals)

BTW, it appears they are streaming the games for free. Even though I've been watching them on Telefutura.

I did this with the U-20 WC, but you guys should keep in mind that many games that can't be seen on normal cable are often streamed live. Usually, I use sopcast but there are others too:

Keep in mind that the best connection isn't often the most obvious. Sometimes it's a Chinese or Japanese channel that has the best quality (if you don't mind the language).

Here's my guesses for tomorrow's games.

FC Dallas 1 - 0 Pachuca
Chivas 2 - 1 LA Galaxy

I know I'll get crap for the FC Dallas pick, but I just feel it and Pachuca was not impressive in that last match.

if Pachuca comes to playiing any way close to what they where playing at the end of last year.... they are blowing dallas away.

FC Dallas just got ripped of a goal. That was not offsides.

0-0 after the first 45

Pachuca had some chances earlier but haven't been able to put it away.
