Over the years, the first-round picks in the Supplemental Draft have been quarterback Dave Brown (Giants) in 1992, receiver Rob Moore (Jets) in 1990, running back Bobby Humphrey (Broncos) in 1989, quarterback Timm Rosenbach (Cardinals) in 1989, quarterback Steve Walsh (Cowboys) in 1989, linebacker Brian Bosworth (Seahawks) in 1987, quarterback Bernie Kosar (Browns) in 1985, and quarterback Dave Wilson (Saints) in 1981.There are some good players in supp draft..

Yea but there's no first round draftees in this supp draft.. I think the highest is a 3rd and that's with questions marks because of the ?'s surrounding the particular draftee.

I'm pretty sure Kosar was a first rounder. And who cares what round they're taken in? Zach Thomas was a fifth rounder, he worked out just fine.

I only mentioned 1st round because it's in the first line of the poster's post. He sighted 1st rounders, so I address that vs this draft..:tsk:

Oh. I completely misunderstood you.
Brooks could be a first rounder but the only team willing to do that would be the 49ers and they're looking at a high pick again.

Kosar was pretty successful in that group...Wilson was moderately successful, but other than that....this group is pretty lacking...actually, I'd say that this group as a whole was a bust...other than Kosar...???

A great player that wasn't first rd, but was in the supplemental draft was WR Chris Carter. I don't know or remember what round he was selected in though.

Cris Carter was the Eagles fourth-round pick in the 1987 supplemental draft, the same draft that sent Brian Bosworth to Seattle in the first round.

Well, yes. But was he a great player for the Eagles? Or did he get cut for drug problems?

Worked out pretty well for Minnesota though...

Kosar and Zack were picked up in the regular draft i think
the supplemental draft is more of a poker game, or whos needs are most and who blinks first

Supp draft really isnt much of a poker game, its not like the draft at all. Its not an interactive draft like the reg draft, you send in what rd. you want a certain player, and if you are the only team to put a bid on a player in that rd. hes yours, or if another team bids but is a higher pick they get the player. Its more like a silent auction, you really can't bluff any1.
