1. Does anyone know when the supplemental draft is?
2. Is there any must have talent in it this year?

I been hearing talk about that offensive tackle out of Mississipi State...however I dont know the time it starts....I will say this though,I hope we dont use a pick on any of these players.....cause if their in this draft,we might as well wait for them next year, and see what they actually turn into...

The Mississippi State tackle is Michael Brown. I think it's because he won't qualify academically

He supposedly had a quiet background and this was a one time incident. He fired the gun to stop a fight that had broken out during a party.

I could see someone using a 6th on him, but we traded that for Fergi. Maybe he'll be there in the 7th round, but I'd hate for our draft next year to end after the 5th round. Also, we are in prime sniping position to pick up other teams cuts this year. Some vets and many players taken in 6th, 7th and 5th rounds will be cut with teams hoping to stash them on their practice squad. Dallas will have to discard some OL and we may get Berger back-or an even better player.

So, I don't see us taking any supplemental players. We can pickup better players on the wiverwire without losing a pick next year.

I would not use a pick in the supplemental draft unless I was fairly certain my team would be picking almost last in next years draft. Picking in the supplemental draft is like trying to pick a good kid out of a reform school. While you know there are a few good ones and they are harder to find you still have to consider that there is a reason guys are supplemental draft in the first place.

Go ahead and take a look at the history of the supplemental draft and I think you will find that very few of the players actually became anything in the NFL. These guys are all in the supplemental draft for a reason, and most of the time that reason is that they are either too stupid and are declared academically ineligible or have some serious character flaws. Yes, there seems to be one or two very talented players available in the supplemental draft every year, yet they seem to never pan out. Two years ago everyone was all high about Ahmad Brooks, the linebacker from UVA, saying that he was a first round talent. Two years later he hasn't made any impact whatsoever on a terrible Cincy defense. Paul Oliver was the big name last year, a supposed top ten pick had he stayed in school and came out this past draft, and he didn't play at all for San Diego.

The offensive tackle that Baltimore got is working out really really well
