Supplemental Draft

If it's a late pick, I really wouldn't mind. The upside far outweighs the risk.

late pick why not people act like 6th and 7th round picks are all studs

You obviously didn't watch the Carolina game. Cam had awesome mechanics and great accuracy on almost every throw. Most of his incompletions were on the money but either defended well or the scrub receivers failed to make the catch. He had great pocket awareness and footwork. He had command of the huddle. All of these were huge question marks before the draft.

All I'm saying is don't discount Pryor. Hard work and dedication can refine awesome natural talent into something special. I would take a chance on him. Like I said what do we have to lose? Another John Jerry?

I watched the entire game, and if you read my earlier post.. im not saying Cam Newton isnt talented or will have success...
I said Terrell Pryor has no reason to be lumped together with Cam Newton other than his race and position.

One is supremely talented and since leaving UF. has progressed tremendously (Jr College and Auburn) while Terrell Pryor has been a career underachiever.

All I was saying was, Cam Newtons PRESEASON action against 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stringers although not terrible still has nothing to do with Terrell Pryor.

And what we have to lose is,.. another draft pick for a player who is obviously a project, and if we need to resort to Terrell Pryor... this regime is long gone, Pryor wont be around the next regime and we will have lost the pick.

I think Pryor is well worth a later pick . 65 percent accuracy and 27 tds and 11 int definately showed some improvement and can move with the ball. Definately a better college season than anyone that Chad henne has at Michigan.

Its not about comparing college stats, let alone to chad henne. If College Football shows anything, its that stats mean nothing. Hell, Blaine Gabbert put together one of the most lackluster stat lines this past year and found himself sitting almost atop the draft boards.

I watch a ton of College Football, and I don't see any possible way of Terrell Pryor being a successful NFL Quarterback.
Before the entire scandal, just based on "talent" alone, he was a mid to late round prospect... now compound that with the fact that he basically just tore down one of the premier football programs in the country for the next few years, doesnt add any value to him.

He's an athletic freak, cant argue that and I wont. But I don't see any benefit to wasting a pick on him, because in the end, WHEN not IF but WHEN, he fails as a Quarterback.. what do you do with him... teach him to be a receiver?

why not teach him to be receiver or try to develop him as a qb. Hell Bush was just as problematuic if not more so at USC but we all love him. As a stxth or seventh round pick what do we lose.

You make good points. But, we are getting the argument of statlines against Newton but when you say that Mallet had a good statline thats not what its about. Its more than a statline, but when it comes to Cam, its only the statline.

its worth a shot if ireland thinks he can turn out to be a good qb for us BUT PLEASE dont bring in Pryor and think he is going to be the next Marino or Montana and not grab one of the top QBs coming out in next years draft because if we do that then i would be all for just going with whatwe have as of NOW and garb our QB in the up coming draft that is if Henne dosent turn his *** around

Not true.

I, along with many around her, hate him as a football player and slapping a dolphins logo on the side of his helmet doesnt change that.

And i was being sarcastic about turning him into a WR. What failed college Qb's have become WR's in the NFL and had success aside Antwaan Randle El? Not many.

6th and 7th round picks are lottery tickets, and i understand that aspect, but Terrell Pryor as a FOOTBALL player, regardless of draft pick, will not improve our football team, or any other in the NFL

+1

I don't see how he fits in with or would improve the Dolphins.

What position would he play and would he be any better than they guys we already have? He's not a starting NFL QB so don't even go there.

Seems like people just want to draft him because they hear his name on ESPN. Waste of a pick.

Pryor ****ing blows. About as bad a QB prospect as you can find. I would much rather have WVDolphan at QB. No really, him going off on Sparano and Henne on the sidelines would be much more entertaining than watching Terrelle Pryor trying to imitate a quarterback. Could probably throw the ball better than Pryor too...

6th or 7th round pick, yes! the guy is 6'5 230+ and runs a 4.3 and probably has a 40 plus vertical.. what do you expect out of a 6th or 7th round pick? a project that has alot of potential.. something that pryor definitely has!
