Anyone hear anything on supplemental draft? I have heard nothing.

It usually happens a week or so before the start of training camp. So mid-late July. It was only in August last year because of the lockout.

Bacarri Rambo

I'd be in favor of bringing Rambo in if he declares...but I don't think he will last to us TBH.

I don't know the order of the SD, but I'm thinking we aren't that high on the list? Also, that means losing future picks IIRC.

Oakland brings in Pryor and then trades away LOTS of draft position for Carson Palmer....glad we're not the Raiduhs for lots of reasons lol

The supplemental draft order is NOT simply the draft order from April. It is a lottery system with the worst teams from 2011 having the higher odds of picking high in the draft. The lottery system is broken into three sections though. 1-6, 7-20 and 21-32. So, since Miami was the 8th pick in April they are in the second lottery group. That means Miami will pick somewhere between 7th and 20th. Very rarely does a team use a first round pick on a player and I am not sure where Rambo falls in if he declares for the supplemental draft.

If Miami or any team uses a pick in the supplemental draft they lose that same round pick in 2013. Oakland used a 3rd round pick last summer for Pryor and had to forfeit their 3rd round pick this past April. A lot of the time these players that do declare for the supplemental draft go undrafted and then the teams just go after them as free agents. It is very possible no players get picked in the draft.

I wouldn't spend a draft pick on Rambo if I was Ireland and I highly doubt he does. Just not enough plays made for such a physically gifted guy. Hell Reshad Jones looked better at UGA and he isn't even close to being the athlete Rambo is. Red flags all over that guy. I won't even mention the failed drug tests because kids will be kids, but still a no for me.

He does come across as a tad immature, but I believe he might be worth a late round pick. He is physical and has some speed. Another guy that could be developed under Philbin's philosophy.

Being a Georgia graduate, I have watched him play a good bit. The big question is he teachable, because he had the tools.
