Yeah Fred Russel was the running back from Iowa who broke that big run. The thing is besides that run, he really didnt look that impressive. You also have to remeber the fact that he was something like 5-7. He would have been destroyed behind our line last year.

I'll pick Mario Edwards and Manuel Wright.
The obvious choice would be Travis Daniels but that wouldn't be that big of suprise to use who think we got a diamond in the rough. I think a bigger suprise would to see Edwards or Reggie Howard play well in Saban's system or AJ Feely come to play.

Yes, and then every year, that player doesn't show up in real games. The pre-season is pretty meaningless, IMO. Just a money grab by the league, 'cuz they know we're so desperate for some football, that we'll watch a bunch of scrubs play!

I think Brock will do alrite... i also think Mario Edwards will impress.

Edwards has already done well in camp--I think Daniels might be the surprise package, but the more we talk about it the less of a surprise it will be :)
