Jerry Jones has openly stated his disappointment in the job done by the Cowboys' coaching staff to weather the storm in Romo's absence. Could Jason Garrett become available in the offseason? I know the article talks about Garrett's contract buyout being a prohibitive factor, but since when is Jerry Jones afraid to spend some cash to do things his way? I think the possibility becomes even more real if Sean Payton becomes available as a free agent, or even for compensation lower than a 1st round pick.

Jason Garrett spent a lot of time in the Dolphins organization. Would you support the hire?

How can a coach not take a knee when you have the ball on Washington's 3 yard line with a minute left leading by 1, kick the field goal and go home. 99 percent of the coaches would milk the clock down to 1 second and kick a 18 yard fg. Otherwise, the skins still wouldn't have enough time to kick a fg.

Nope.

Guy has easily the most talented team in the NFC East and struggles. Romo or not, you should be running the ball 40 times a game with that beast O-line. Instead lets play hot potato with Weeden and Cassell for half the year.

Really haven't seen anything creative out of him since Romo and Dez went down. You should adjust your game plan and not expect 3rd string QB to carry your squad.

Basically, Joe Philbin Jr. that thankfully doesnt sound like a cluts infront of a mic.

if there was one coach hire that would make me take a hiatus from dolphins football, it would jason ****ing garrett

hate that guy and think he's an awful coach.

this guy rode the coat tails of his 2014 offensive line to a lucrative extension

no thanks

He basically screwed over Wade Phillips to get that job.

Nope. He's underachieved with a load of talent on his team. Would be Philbin 2.0 here.

I hope everyone is aware it's a foregone conclusion that Sean Payton is headed to Dallas. Book it! Indy the s 2nd on that list

I like Jason Garrett and he has NFL Head Coaching experience (you have to go back to Dave Wannstedt to find a Dolphin Head Coach with actual experience before). Garrett has done a good job in developing talent over the years and the Cowboys have had bad luck with injuries to key players this year. I think he would also be good in developing Ryan Tannehill, having played the position and coached a top QB in Tony Romo. He is also experienced in handling the media and dealing with owner demands. I'm probably in the minority but I'd take him with no regrets. Definite upgrade.
