Here's where the seeds to Flores getting fired were sown... firing O'Shea after his offense averaging 25.4 points per game over the second half of '19. Can you even imagine this team with three years of CONTINUITY on offense with a creative OC like O'Shea? 25 ppg? Over 400 offensive points for the season?!? Pretty sure we would have won a few more games. Pretty sure Flores would still be head coach. Whatever. I was SHOCKED when he fired O'Shea... especially when it was announced we were doing so to bring Gailey out of retirement. 🤦‍♂️

I told my friends then... mark my words... this is going bite Flores in the rear real HARD one day. Well, here we are.

Lol. This was cute. Drink your own cool aid much?😂😂

I always thought the "tried to install too complex an offense" and Ryan Fitzpatrick had to help teach it were complete BS.

1) its your job to learn the playbook as players. If the offense is complex it may take more than one offseason to fully install and that is okay.

2) Fitzpatrick was like a 15 year veteran, I expect 15 year veterans to take an active role teaching the younger players.

Meh, not like O'Shea has done anything noteworthy since.

O’Shea presided over a run game that was the worst in franchise history w 1100 yards. Even the 9 game ‘82 strike season got close to that. Our QB was our leading rusher with 243 yards. Gailey was far better w 25 PPG over a full season and better 3rd down metrics, TOP and RZ efficiency. Staff turnover was a problem for Flores though.

How about if we got Bieniemy as our next coach? Be fun to watch them at the very least.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. You fire O’Shea and bring in Old man Chan Gailey, that was a stupid move. Rookie head coach move. And then to top that off you do this co coordinator ****. Yeah I think Flores screwed himself.
Except Gailey was better than O’Shea on every measurable thing. But yes we had too much turnover.

Didn't he get canned for trying to implement a over complicated offensive scheme.
I think they said something to that effect. I would have fired him for having a leading rusher w 243 yards and it be your QB. Like, uh, rushing for 1100 yards as a team will never ever get you to the SB or even a division title.

Color me perplexed, because Chan Gailey was the only right move he made in his coaching staff. The offense scored points. When Gailey went back into retirement, I knew trouble was brewing.

The rest of the reasons our coaches keep getting canned is because they seemingly can't get assistants. Gase hit a home run with Vance Joseph, and we couldn't keep him... The rest of Gase's issues were not finding a suitable replacement for him.
