Surprising Stat.

Wow. I did not know that at all. Red zone has always been a struggle in the Tannehill area. Awesome to see.

Perhaps this stat could benefit from a tad more explanation. I'm guessing that it is Tannehill's red zone numbers for 2016?

He was very good in the Red Zone under Mike Sherman, as well.

His RZ efficiency numbers tanked under the Lazor system.

The best thing about Ryan not needing surgery is that even if he doesn't step on the field the rest of the season, he's going to be good to go this offseason and can continue to work with Gase. I know it feels like Ryan's been around for a long time, but next year will only be his sixth season. Drew Brees' first season with the Saints was his sixth season. I think we've only just begun to see what Ryan can do.

He could learn to throw the ball away before a sack.... But dudes a beast and I'm so excited that he gets a full offseason to work on improving other areas, hope the GM's can improve the defense and OL....so that RT17 beasts even moreso next year!

I didn't even realize this. Good job Ryan Tannehill. You changed my opinion thru the year.

Its amazing how well he can do there when the coaching is competent. We're actually seeing fade routes and those little screens to the rb that we've watch murder us for td's for the last decade without ever successfully performing one. Tannehill is gonna be such a baller when we get our line healthy and add a new guy or two, which WILL happen in the draft. Its exciting for once around here. Thank god we dont havr to go tannehill-less for the next 12 months.

Not quantifiable, but I think even his fiercest detractors would struggle to say he is not a leader after his performances this year...

I don't know about that. I saw quite a few that were suggesting otherwise including suggesting looking at other options if he wasn't ready at the start of next season.

They said that tonight before the game.. that Brady is the second best passer in the red zone behind Ryan Tannehill
