Just hears Ted Ginn Sr on the local radio show here in C-Bus!! He is promoting his new DVD but There was alot of talk about his son Dolphins Wr Ted Ginn Jr....

-He said he has never seen his son so focused on getting better, and he has already started his workout regime to add what he said 8-12 pounds of muscle.

-When asked how Ginn would respond to the "Parcells regime" he said Teddy has NEVER had any kind of a problem with a coach in his life, and that Ginn is already so discaplined that they will get along just fine.

-Said Ginn was disappointed that Wr's coach Terry Robiskie was no longer there but he will fit in fine with the next guy.

-You could tell that despite "knowing the Cameron family for years" he was very dissapointed in the way they used Ginn this past season.

-Asked how Ginn felt about leaving a program with a .800 winning percentage his duration there to a team that struggled to win one game...he said every single time he talked to his son this season ted was confident THAT week that whomever they were playing the Dolphins were gonna win ( My personal FAV line)

-Finally when asked if Ginn has heard alot of the "disgruntled" Dolphins fans complain about taking him over Brady Quinn he said it was the exact opposite, that Ginn told him on draft day "Dad all I can do is go out and show the fans that Ted Ginn was a great pick up" Said he was worried at first but that the fans have embraced Ginn as the season has past and that despite everything Teddy was happy in Miami and looking foward to being a part of somthing special down there in S Florida...

...bottom line you cant blame Ginn for being drafted by the phins and I love his attitude and work ethic..I think the Dolphins and Ginn are both gonna grow together in 2 to 3 years we may be looking at a SB contender with a pro bowl WR!

Yeah, just ask his dad.

Dad should let his son talk for himself.

But I guess we did draft the Ginn Family.

Just wait until Ginn SR tries to get into camp and Parcells asks him to see his field pass, Ginn Sr says what field pass, I'm Ginn Sr.? Parcells says okay, go behind the fence with the rest of the fans.!

Why the negativaty toward the Ginn family?? The man is working hard to make himself better, his dad has done nothin to warrant any kind of trash talk, did I miss something?

10 lbs of muscle is exactly what the kid needs to get better, i don't see the instincts on returns at the NFL level even though he will score every once in a while but i do think he can become a good receiver. somehow he needs to get way more explosive.

...It was a scheduled interview with Ginn Sr and his son was brought up... Big deal. Don't be so negative, Greg. ;)

I think the man should let his son talk for himself. I don't know the man personally, just seems like he is trying to get fame off of his son.

Ginn is a long-stride runner... Meaning he'll blaze by you, not juke around you. Personally I think we needed a better special teams unit (aka new ST coach). Hester wouldn't be the same on our special teams, we couldn't really hold a block if our lives depended on it... Not to mention if we scored... we literally held a block.

I think Ginn will be a Steve Smith-like threat in the next 2 years. Just my opinion though... I just hope that Hagan works out, I have a feeling he'll be gone after 2008 unless he shows up big time.

All Ginn needs is some weight and some more experience..

I think his instincts were held back by the "scheme" of the ST coach, if you noticed Ginn's best returns were when he just caught the ball and took off, not when he jogged up to his blocker's backs.

The whole "family" thing was nonsense.

For all Cameron's failing's, that wasn't one of them. What he clearly meant was that he knew what made Ginn tick. When Ginn, a Cleveland native wanted to work out in Ohio in the offseason, the relationship with the family would help get Ted to work out in Miami. If Ginn was struggling in camp, that familial relationship might get that extra 5 or 10% out of Ginn, especially with his own father being a coach. It meant that Ginn would likely settle quicker into the professional sports environment and all that comes with it, knowing the respect he already had for Cameron and that on the flip side, Ginn would work harder, knowing how his father feels about Cameron and that he didn't want to let his father down.

Did Cameron convey that in the best possible way? No.

But to continue to castigate him for that is bordering on the pathetic.

exactly and i am tired of hearing the Ginn Family jokes, it's very annoying. Ted Ginn did what he was asked to. He returned kicks very well and he didn't drop many balls. With our current coaching they will him to be better.

Blame Cam for hancuffing his rookies early on!

Yea, I agree why take it out on a family that has done nothing but be drafted???

Cameron's family comment just added fuel to the "quinn" fire...and somehow people wanna take it out on Ginn, who from what I hear is doing everything he can to be a great MIAMI DOLPHIN!!!

What good dad doesn't gush when asked about his son? Ted Ginn Sr. doesn't need to get fame in Columbus from what I can tell. He's been a coach there for years, but I don't live there so maybe some locals can fill us in.

IMO that is akin to saying Daniel Marino (the 3rd?) was trying to capitalize on his dad's fame by introducing him into the hall of fame. Not a perfect analogy I know but it wasn't as if he was selling Ted Ginn T-shirts at OSU.

For the record, I still wanted Cam as the coach, and no I didn't want Quinn.
Me too. Too bad about Cam but we're holding out on Ginn.

By adding 10 pounds, Ginn will still only weigh 185 which is still not very big by NFL WR standards. Especially considering the guy is only 5'11"
