Granted we all know he is more likely to end up in Denver, but how nice would it be to have another offensive weapon for at least one year? I say one year b/c if history tells us anything he is trouble after that amount of time. If we lose Ricky, and don't get the Edge, we'll need something to take the pressure off of Brown, and still looking for leadership at QB for the long term.

I say, knowing what we know about him, if something can be structured in his contract to keep him in check, i could deal with having him. He's about as talented as they come.

Welcome to the Finheaven community by the way :dolphins:

Imagine what that guy will do to the fan base Miami has. He can play, but the guys a piece of garbage that plays a TEAM sport. No "I" in team.
I would be so disappointed if Saban, who is trying to get us to establish an identity, hires this guy. Yeah we may win games in the end. But we will be all over ESPN like Philly was, and look like fools if he burns us like Philly. Not even worth the league min. Would take a Marvin Harrison or Chris Chambers over him any day! If we want another reciever, take Moss (sinorice) or Jackson. Ultra-Speed is the only thing we lack in a WR.

I wouldn't disown the team, if they did get TO but you're absolutely right. I've said before, i trust Saban, but ultimately i have to believe there will be better options than TO available.

I personally would love to see a T.O caliber reciever in Miami......yes he talks a lot and makes people upset but at least when sunday comes he's ready to play and always puts up big numbers........there's no "I" in team but there is an "I" in win!!! sometimes it just takes an addition of one more threat to make it all work.

I totally agree with you. I'd love to see a "T.O. caliber reciever in miami" too. Just not completely sold on TO  I know he's good. Just a big chance. I don't think were in a desperate enough situation at WR to have to take that chance. Detroit has some good receivers. Not sure about their RB situation. Maybe we could get one of their guys. Just saying theres got to be other options out there.

I disagree here, I think Brown will be fine carrying the load. We will still have a decent backup with Morris or even Kay-Jay.

I don't understand why you would want TO on the fins. Your receiver corp is pretty good, not amazing but not exactly the biggest need. I understand why teams like Denver or KC (!) would want him, a play making WR is a bigtime need for them. But I just don't see why you would want to take such a big risk on someone like TO if it isn't necessary.

im all for TO to come down to Miami, but i believe the options will be there for possibly sinorice moss in the 2nd round. teams will over look him as a first round pick, and if we have sinorice, booker, chambers, we have a guy who catches about every tough pass thrown, a big possesion receiver, and then a speed demon. damn ill be happy with matt stovall from ND.

If it could happen, I'm all for it. He's a big time player and he's proven that throughout his career. I also don't think he will be a distraction. Why? Because the respect that the whole organization has for Saban, I could only imagine TO would come in here with that same respect. Plus, lets not forget the fact that Saban limits the media's access to the players and coaches. I believe that with the firm hold Saban has over the media and player seperation, he will be able to control the controversial WR.

Yeah, Im pretty sure we need somebody to throw the ball to him first or else all hell will break loose... I can see it now, Gus headbutting TO in a fight and Manny crying for them to stop...

Realistically though, Gus can thorw the ball and he can get the ball to his recievers on average. If Gus is our starting QB and we do have TO, I only see TO making Gus a better QB. With Gus having TO and Chambers, I see him having a late career breakout (if you want to call it that) like Rich Gannon in his late 30's.

Thats true there is no "I" in team but there aint no "WE" either . I dont want Owens we are set at the WR position, just draft a decent reciever in the 4-5 round and stick with what we have. But what Saban decides to do i'll back him he is going to do whats best for the organization
