Tackle we should draft

draft scenarios? It's a little early to give up. Vernon Carey could turn out to be that LT of the future, who knows?

Or Anthony Alibi.

Jean Giles was a LT last year and was good...and now he was moved to LG so he could be a choice the same goes with all the LT's this year

Mcneil
Fergeson
Winston
Whitworth
Ohio States LT

I agree a tackle may not be a huge need. Carey is not what we are talking about. its the other 4 spots.

But strengthening the line as a whole is going to have to happen. Center, guards or the other tackle, it going to need some help somewhere. Maybe in free agency, but that takes much more $. Its nice to have guy under a 6 year rookie contract. Especially if it comprises 3/5ths of the starting offensive line and QB.

Perhaps Saban was looking long term, and knows the help he needs on offense comes in the next draft.
great insight, Saban definately knows the talent pool. im sure that played in his decision making in this years draft.

winston is the best LT to come out of college in a long, long time.

We'll see how he recovers from his injury last year. Even before he got injured, he was good but I don't know if I would go as far as you.

I have seen them all, and the best of the bunch is Ferguson.

I'm more concerned with the center and guard positions than I am the tackle position. I also don't think offensive line is an "impact" position even though it is important. I'd be more in favor of using the pick on a defensive tackle, quarterback, or outside linebacker.
