Every year a can't miss "safe" prospect ends up busting and a pick that has fans scratching their heads ends up making some FO look like geniuses. The draft is NOT an exact science, it's a crap shoot. The experts don't know nearly as much as they'd have you believe, and more importantly, crying about a pick accomplishes nothing. It changes nothing. Hope for the best and fear the worst. That's all we can do as fans. Hell, the one person who knows Tannehill the best is Sherman, and Miami would not have drafted Tanny without a ringing endorsement from him.

Remember that a lot of the "experts" would have said us drafting Brees late in the first was a reach. "He's too short, he played in an offense that padded his numbers." Same with Aaron Rodgers at #2 overall. "He's too raw, he's not accurate enough." So for God's sake, stop your moaning, because at the end of the day NO ONE can say if this pick is going to work out or not.

I'm all in and pretty excited. There are always going to be some D-Bag fans that are going to complain about everything. For the most part It seems most fans are pretty happy about the pick.

Who's whining? Happiest I've been about a pick in decades.

Yeah it does seem that most are happy with the pick. But the vocal minority is a pain in the ass.

Anyone who is whining about this pick should think back to Billy Milner, John Avery, Jason Allen... the list goes on and on.

You have to take a chance to be great, and the Fins did that with the pick of Tannehill. I'd rather have Tannehill and a WR or OL in round 2, than Fletcher Cox or Stephon Gilmore in round 1 and Kirk Cousins in round 2.

We need playmakers!

This was a perfectly appropriate pick at a perfectly appropraite spot. The vast concensus on this year's qbs was that Luck and RG3 were the elites, then Tannehill, then Weedon. OK, Luck and RG3 1 and 2. Weedon at 22, and they moved up to get him. Therefore, Tannehill should fall somewhere between 3 and 22. Halfway between is ~12. Factor in that he has more value to us because he's going to his former HC, and a system he already knows, and that easily bumps him up to 8. QED.
