This is a link from when Deion Sanders was "talking" with Aurther Blank about the Atlanta Falcons Head Coaching position

http://www.sportsfrog.com/2003/11/coach_deion.php

Tell me that this guy wouldn't be electric. I understand there is some shock value in the "Prime Time" coach, but if you all hear it enough, I garauntee it will start to sound like music to your ears. And with the crop of coaches out there, what do we have to lose? We could stay the course and be like any other average franchise, or we could blow the roof off the NFL. This town would have to hang a sign up at the entrance to Miami that said "DANGER DANGER - HIGH VOLTAGE"

...and with all the talk about how coaching is overrated and motivation is all they really do, who better than Prime Time who is a preacher! GM's and personnel win in this league and Deion has an eye for talent, and can then motivate that talent.

I've been saying this for some time now, and Deion is the only one that jumps out at me. Look at it this way, Mueller will remain the GM, so personnel decisions will go through him, which will not endager the future talent of the team. The offensive and defensive coordinators are in place. Deion motivates, coaches, and creates a serious buzz around this franchise. FA's will come here, rookies will be highly influenced to play for him, and salary cap will be helped out because of his extraordinary appeal to players. What is the worse that could happen? We hire Jim Mora Jr, he has 2 losing season, he gets fired, and we are back at square one. There is only 1 Deion Sanders and in a copy cat league, nobody could duplicate this move. It would be revolutionary!!

Biggest thing about Deion is not his brain but his MOUTH! Deion as ANY kind of coach is just laughable!:sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol: :sidelol:

I like him much better on tv.... hope he stays there with Mariucci. Still cannot stand that Rich Eisen guy

Close-minded people like you are laughable. Read the whole post.

If Deion is our new coach the orange uniforms will replace the basic whities we wear every week.

i will kill myself or worst i will become a jets fan if we get deion as our coach

A small comparison to this north the border would be Mike "pinball" Clemons in Toronto. He was a very popular and well-respected CFL player and that has translated to a very good CFL coach. Mike is very popular with the players (just ask Ricky) and is a dynamic personality for the organization.

The comparison is not directly porportional but the same general principle would/could apply.

Sanders would definately attract a lot of attention and would be energetic in south Florida. If he does not succeed, however, the energy would not sustain itself.

Wow....Deion works in the booth a couple of years and now that makes him a coach I guess.

I'm sure discipline would not be an issue either with him in charge.

Agreed. Nice example with Pinball. Winning is everything and if he doesn't suceed, he'll be fired like everyone else. But what if he wins?

Deion wouldn't have to discipline. He would inspire.
