Take Ted Ginn OFF kick return duties

Over 50% of his returns end up inside the 20 yard line. We need better consistency

I predict he will not be on this team next yr.
He's a below average route runner and today he dropped a couple of passes. He can't get open with any degree of consistency. His only asset is speed. In college he was a dynamic return man, but no so at the next level.
He certainly was not worth the 9th overall pick in the draft. He's a below average NFL starting WR. It's painful to see a guy like Patrick Willis on the other side of the field, when our FO passed on him. That reason alone is enough for Mueller and Cameron to have lost their jobs.
Due to pure athletic ability and speed he will occasionally have a good game, but he doesn't look like a clutch player. After 2 seasons I haven't seen any development as a WR on his part.
I hope he has trade value for a 3rd-5th rd pick, based on potential alone, so that the team could recoup something for him.
He's just another Desmond Howard/ Rocket Ismail. :rolleyes2:

if he gets released that will be extremely retarded....they wont do that i garauntee it

He dropped one pass . . . and if u haven't seen the development then u are blind my friend. He will be on the team next year.

I've bashed Ginn as much as anyone, so I feel like I can speak on this. Ginn is a WEAPON on ST.......He needs to stay right there. That's where he does best. I think the constant callbacks have ghosted him a bit though.

No .. we're not gonna cut him. I guarantee if we do he's gonna find a team with a better arm and torch us.

However, yes I want him off kickoffs.. no matter what their blocking is, he runs LEFT. Its rediculous. Can we get someone that at least runs with their blocking?

Bess didn't do any better. Seems like they always call a return left and the kicker puts it in the opposite corner.

Who cares what Ginn does, the Fins are winning. Until Ginn starts costing them the game please STFU.

they wont trade him. i agree. and i think cobbs should get a chance or some other player who isnt starting so he can focus on only returning. ginn has too much on his mind trying to be a reciever just like devin hester.

u guys just keep bashing and bashing...

I'm not bashing him. I think his resume' to this point is that of a below average starting WR in the NFL. He's accomplished very little as a return man, which, was the main reason he was drafted so high.
Every point I made is a legitimate one. Go ahead and dispute them with stats.
For the record, in that draft I was rooting for Brady Quinn, with Patrick Willis as a close second. But, only because I thought QB was a bigger need at that point.
I never believed Ginn was worth a top 10 pick. He showed promise near the end of last season and I was starting to warm up to him, but on the BALANCE of this season I have concluded that he just doesn't have the intangibles to be a significant factor in this league.

Ginn is a guy that needs to get into the game. We need to get him the ball early. He needs to be on punt returns, cause that gets the ball in is hand the most. We need to support this kid he is part of our team. Notice when the ball goes to him there is double coverage every time. That is why other guys get more open looks. He needs our support cause us dogging him makes him play worse not better. We need him now, we have him now, and we have to supprt him now.

i disagree.. bess did fantastic today on punt returns.. bess wants the ball more and more. he is turning out to be a great all around player.

All I can say on this is that the HEARTLESS Ted Ginn is BACK! He is so afraid of contact it makes me crazy. I would trade him or outright cut him this offseason to send a message to the rest of the underperforming guys that it will not be tolerated.
