I love pennington he has done a good job, but we can all agree henne is the man next year and we are not a superbowl contender and probably not a playoff contender if we wait until next year to start henne it will be 2012 until we are decent. let henne take is lumps starting in 2 weeks vs. buffalo.
 
Why are Fin fans so certain that Henne should be the man, and not White? They are both 2nd round pics. Let there be competition in camp next summer, and definitely not now.
 
Henne is not ready, or he would be playing they have seen him enough with all the practices and preseason games. i think they like white better. but i think i would rather see henne once and full all in a real game not preseason so we can see if he has it or not. i think the time is now.
 
Start him this year, we have to see if we go into the draft thinking QB yet again this year.

I agree, if we go 0-3, start Henne after the bye week.

I hate to say it, but I agree. I love what Pennington has done but if we are not contending we need to see who the next guy will be. We may need to look for a QB in the offseason if Henne and White don't look good..............and I really think they won't.

If Losman wasn't rushed into the job at the expense of Bledsoe... Perhaps he wouldn't have caved under the pressure that falls on young starting QBs

He has sat for almost a year and a half now. How can he still be rushed? Is sitting for another year really going to make him ready?
 
What makes you think Fasano or Ginn Jr will be more reliable if Henne is throwing a harder, faster ball?

Pennington is more reliable than Henne. I'd like to see Henne play too, but Chad can't do it all. With Henne the rest of the team will have to play much better for us to win, not the other way around.

From what I've seen of White in pre-season I think he was a mistake to take as a QB in the 2nd round.

I want to go to Henne now not because I think he can make us better now but because I do think he is the future of the team and I'd rather let him make mistakes this year when we aren't going anywhere rather than next.

Pennington is a smart QB but has no arm and cannot run a 2 minute offense.
