Ok, I know I tend to talk trash a lot, but I really do enjoy talking football. Anyway, with all the posts reguarding the situation of the franchise, I thought I would take a stab at what I think the biggest fish problem is.

IMO, they are unwilling to build their own team, and instead take the rejects of others. First, lets take a loot at some of the dolphins aquisitions:

-LJ Shelton: A played the bills thought of signing, but McNally said he was too bad to be coached up to starting material.

-Bennie Anderson: Bills reject

-Mularky: Anyone who followed the story knows the bills really forced him to quite in order to save money as opposed to firering him: reject

-Culpepper: A Player the vikes didn't want anymore

-Harrington: Reject

I really think the biggest problem with the Fish is that they are unwilling to draft their own tallent and build a team up, but feel instead they can do it by taking other teams rejects. Saban is a good start, but they really need a solid draft.

Shelton has been a pretty good RG for us and Bennie Anderson was forced into the lineup due to injury. He was never brought in to start. Detroit did want to get rid of Harrington but they are no better for doing so. I think the Lions had more than QB problems despite what they thought. Harrington is an average backup QB in the NFL, nothing more. The more Dolphins fans that realize that the better. The jury is still out on Culpepper, although it doesn't look good at all.

It is true that we have taken way too many guys lately as stop-gap fixes. Only the Raiders have had any success at taking rejects (well, and the 72 Skins maybe). Of course, the Raiders had a more than decent QB, great running backs, and a HOF coach when they had success with that approach...and it hasn't worked the last 20 years or so.

1) No ****
2)No ****
3)No ****
4)He's still an enigma that this point
5)Load of ****.

You can't rebuild a team in one year, that was our mistake as fans in thinking that.

Shelton has been a good right guard and Harrington was supposed to be a backup but Culpepper wasn't fully healed and we got stuck playing Harrington.

Solid rafting is their problem. We need speed at wr, and and accurate qb, known for accuracy..like a madden game sort of

I agree, just look at the redskins for example. Loading up in FA year after year and just get worse and worse. We need to build through the draft and it all starts at QB. We need to take a Brohm or Smith round 1 and go from there. Start building our OWN team.
