It was the best of times. The only player on Dolphins D who had a negative grade was Taylor. We had 4 sacks, 2 hits, and 19 hurries.

It was the worst of times. The only player on Dolphins O who had a positive grade was Wallace. We gave up 4 sacks, 6 hits, and 21 hurries. Big drop, Big fumble, Big pick.

Tannehill was 27 of 38 for short yardage with pressure on 31 of his 38 pass attempts, a flashback to last years OL.

Absolutely, but let's give the opponents some credit. Remember that guy last night for that other team that threw what 6TD's? Yeah, that guy. How did he do against said defense?

Exactly. People don't realize that Lions team is damn good.

Despite the stats we were ahead and just needed one more stop to win the game. Just like against GB.
All the offense needed was another 1st down or two to put it away. Instead we got a quick three and out and gave them 3 minutes on the clock to win it at the end :bobdole:

What was James rating ? I thought he played a hell of a game considering.

Our offense couldn't get a 1st down. We used up about 1 minute of the game clock on our final drive. We have to be better than that, even against the No. 1 defense.

James graded out the worst on the OL, -2.4 pass with 5 hurries, and -4.2 on the run.

HMMM Nfl.com says we each had 3 sacks not 4.

Yeah, we had talked about this before in past posts. PFF does not give half sacks, which I like while others prefer the older standard. That is the difference you will see when PFF is used.

Correction. RT was pressured on 23 pass plays. I did not account for multiple pressures on plays. He hit 47% under pressure, and 95% without it. On his 27 of 38, he had 2 throw aways, 1 spike, 1 batted pass, and 1 drop. He also hit 1 of 2 over 20 yards but, not the one we needed.

Our defense is like a golfer with a great scoring average, excellent overall stats, and plenty of praise, but who simply can't get through 72 holes on top when it matters.

Essentially we've become Jim Furyk. Maybe not many here will understand that reference, but those who do will appreciate it. Furyk gives away so many favorable situations down the stretch it's scary.
