Negatives:
2 fumbles by Ricky (really?)
1 fumble by Ginn
3 for 13 on 3rd downs
30.6 - Net Punting Avg
Starks - no tackles, 2 assists
Jake Long had a tough day

Positives:
After a slow start for Pennington, 1 for 6 for -1 yards, he finished the game with over 60% completions and almost won the game.

Fasano, Martin, Camarillo looked nice.
Yeremiah Bell led the team with 7 tackles and 3 assists (with 4 linebackers, why is our safety the one who needs to make all of the tackles?)

Roth looked nice with 5 tackles.
*****
Notes: Clearly the dolphins wanted to showcase there tightends in this game. Only 6 out of the 26 completions were to Wide Receivers. (12 to TE, 8 to RB)

The Jets Rookie corner Lowery looked like a monster out there, manhandling our little receivers. Perhaps that guy is going to the pro-bowl, if he keeps playing like that.

Our strategy was good... if you lose the turnovers and get a little unlucky (like Favre's TD), fail on the 4th and goal... then you're not going to win very often. The end of the game was still exciting, and Penny nearly pulled off a victory.

Unpossible. They've told me on Finheaven that he was elite.

We only had one turnover, that was the pick at the end of the game.

ok. The espn box score says 2 fumbles by Ricky, but neither were lost (which disagrees with the nfl.com boxscore). I seem to remember Samson Satele jumping on a fumble. Maybe a bad handoff?

That's right. On that play it looked like Ricky brushed someones back with the ball and then stood in the backfield looking stoned when he no longer had it. Like, what happened dude?? Satelle got on it. The other was fumbled out of bounds when he was hit. How many times did Ronnie fumble anyway?

This is where stats are misleading - yes, Roth had 5 tackles - but the dude was owned all day long. He is too slow to play on the outside.

Here is something nobody is talking about.... there was that funny play, where Ricky put his head-down and ran full-speed, helmet-first, into Vernon Carey's Butt, and injured Carey for a play. That was kind of funny (If Carey had been seriously hurt, it would not be funny).

But he's the same guy that forced our only turnover.

I was thinking, wow, Roth has the same stats as Calvin Pace. Note: we almost signed Calvin Pace, but he went to the Jets (6 years, $42 million, front-loaded contract)($26 million over the first 3 seasons).

Pace is a nice player, but I'm not sure that he is $7 million per year better than Roth. I'm kind of happy that we kept Roth, and can now spend this $7 million/year at another position next year.

Roth needs to lose a few pounds and gain some experience at LB, but I was satisfied with him yesterday.

I was dubious about him being an OLB, but, I have to admit..His name was mentioned more in this game than all of last year. Not to mention, he made a HUGE play.

While the ESPN box may be "technically" correct, Ricky's 2nd fumble came on the last play of the first half when he was getting tackled at the sideline and the ball came out and landed out of bands.

Funny was seeing the camera pan to the crowd, and a Jets fan screaming and waving a towel. A Dolphin fan sitting behind the Jets fan grabs the towel and throws it. A fight ensues... It was right before a commercial break, and it was literally 5 seconds. Youhad to really pay close attention to the crowd to see it.
