talk about a steal?

Call me crazy but when was an 11th overall pick considered a steal?
well what i meant by steal was that he was from a small school that flew under the radar he is one of if not the best qb rite now except brady to play the game 18-1 as a starter.

If I remember correctly...

Pittsburgh: Round 1, Pick 11
Miami: Round 1, Pick 15

Mabye thats why?
Or mabye because Rick Speilman and Dave Wannstedt fail at drafting?
We had the 20th pick.

damn why didn't we get carson palmer 2 years ago???

LOL I hope that comment was sarcastic, Palmer went 1st overall............we never had a chance with him.

I see what you mean, but come draft day alot of people were high on him. I never thought he'd be off to this kind of start, but alot of people were tooting his horn.

roethlisberger didn't fly under the radar at all. he was at the draft and people expected him to go higher than 11 (i had him going #4 to the giants actually)

roethlisberger > any other QB to enter the draft since carson palmer

I know Eli's completion percentage is nothing to brag about, but I think he'll be a better player than Roethlisberger. Ben was not a steal at all, most people had him as the 2nd rated Qb, but A.J. Smith had Rivers rated as the top Qb, if I recall correctly. Big Ben is good and I think Pittsburgh's offense is gonna have to change a little bit because i'm not a big fan of Willie Parker, and the Bus and Staley I believe are both in their 30's, so I would not be shocked at all if they went RB in the 1st rd this year, and if I had to make a draft prediction I would say LenDale White would be their pick.

We never really had a chance at Ben. I'd rather have him than Palmer, Vick, Eli and any other young QB you can think of. The man was born to win football games.

What?!?!?!?!? That's just nuts.

Oh sure just throw around some facts that those. LOL Some people don't do much research before forming a opinion.

We did have a chance at Big Ben

Houston offered us the 10th overall pick for O-gun. Not good enough since Rick wanted a 1st and a 3rd.

Then we could have still traded up to pick up Big Ben but we had already spent a 2nd on Feeley.

We most certainly had a chance at Big Ben and I for on on draft day was hoping O-gun would still get shopped over to Houston and we would get their pick to pick this guy up.
