I thought this kid would be a legit Keyshawn Johnsonn type, OG type player. Good ups, great size, had tons of TD's at USC and he's inactive today. Alll I hav heard is that the kid has zero work ethic, what a waste of talent. We are killing the Ginn pick but this kid is really stinking it up. Anybody know what gives?
 
And to think I actually wanted us to draft him last year. He looked like a stud coming out of college....
 
Heh, well USC has had some great QB's throwing the ball. I liked Jarrett too, but when you have QB's like Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, John David Booty, and Mark Sanchez, there might be a chance those QB's are making the receivers look better than they are.

Smith really isn't a bust. He had a hamstring injury as a rookie (but still made plays during the Super Bowl run), and he's on a fairly deep WR corp (Plax,Toomer,Hixon,Moss,Manningham, with Tyree coming back and Boss at TE) on a team that will pound the ball with 3 RBs before they pass.

Jarrett is suffering from thinking that he can dominate the CBs in the NFL just because he's bigger than them like he did USC. Well, the CBs in the NFL have learnt proper technique to the guys that DJ could beat in college with raw talent.
 
Still think too early to call him a bust, I actually think he can be a good player. Lets not forget our last year's second round pick has been inactive alot this season also.
