He was telling me that if they dump Edwards he will be upset. He told me the Giants offered a 2nd and Hixen. Giants 2nd is late. If i was the fins. I will give #44 and Bess. He said most of the balls Edwards dropped were tough catchs and the Browns know,s this. So i say we put up Bess and #44 put we try #56 1st. Then just draft Defence. Thoughts

Edwards isn't worth giving up anything significant for. I'd honestly rather have Bess and keep our picks. If we're going to make a trade, at least make it for Boldin, an actual quality WR.

I do agree but Boldin got a bad hip plus we have to give up our #1 & #3. Thats alot for a guy that has 3 to 4 years left until the hip gives out.

Just my opinion, but I really hope we don't fill our Receiver core need with Braylon Edwards. He just doesn't seem to be a good fit when I think of him playing in Miami.

Do you not realize that despite all his "drops", his numbers are quite comparable to Boldin's?? Why does everyone make it sound like this guy is just plain terrible?? He's NOT.

because he is not a phin. He had 16 tds the previous year, not one receiver we have could come close to that

I watched Edwards play at Michigan and thought he was over rated then. He's a good WR and obviously better than what we have, but he's not worth two draft picks. Boldin is a LOT better.

umm i remember at least 3 drops where he was widdde opppen!!
and one that he had burnt the db deep and had a easy td and dropped it.
Most his drops were not difficult.
He would be our number 1 no question but I wouldnt trade for him to be our number one.
I think Mia is gonna wait until 2010 to sign a WR for Henne rather than trade for one for Pennington

LOL, exactly. If Teddy Ginn had 16 TD catches in a year, people on here would already be preparing his HOF induction speech. Braylon Edwards is an excellent wr. So what if he drops balls. So does Terrell Owens. Owens also gives you 10-12 TD catches a year and production. Get back to me when we have a wr even close to that.

Owens is a shell of his former self.

Thanks for letting me in on that. I thought he was still in his prime. Must be nice to be a shell of your former self and still produce double digit TD catches, which goes back to the point Iwas making.
he also has a buttbuddy qb who just looks for him in the endzone. were more likely to run for our tds.

What would make you say he has a bad hip? And what makes you think it will give out in 3-4 years. I know he injured his hip in 2007 but that doesnt mean the hip is a problem.
I mean, last year he missed 4 full games with a crushed jaw and still caught 89 balls for over 1000 yards and 11 tds. The most catches in a season for a Dolphin was OJ McDuffie in 1998 with 90. That was in 16 games and he only had 7 tds.
If I thought WR was our most pressing need, which I dont, or that we were 1 player away from putting us over the top, like the '04 Eagles with T.O., I would say trade our 1st and 3rd for Boldin. A 1st and a 3rd would actually be a good deal for a WR as productive and talented as Boldin is. However, I think a starting CB and more pass rush are bigger needs than a WR right now and our draft picks should be used for that. Even so, I wouldnt really be upset if we did trade for Boldin because he is a difference maker in games.
