When Terrence McGee returned to the lineup against the Dolphins in Miami last season, offensive coordinator Dan Henning tested him early and often, throwing a deep sideline pattern to Ted Ginn Jr. on the game’s first play and ultimately enabling Ginn to put up the best numbers of his career, seven catches for 175 yards and a touchdown.

McGee is fine now but the Bills will be starting free-agent pickup Drayton Florence on the other side and rookie second-round pick Jairus Byrd at free safety.

Byrd didn’t participate in OTA work due to his late graduation from Oregon and missed part of training camp with a sports hernia, so he figures to be susceptible. As tempting as it might be to keep pounding away with the NFL’s third-ranked running game, Henning has got to take some shots downfield.

I'm sure all the offensve cooridintors are thinking that. If Ginn gets open he'll see the ball.. Henne has already stated he's is going to go there if it presents itself. Ginn hasn't earned the respect IMO that you can just throw it up there and expect him to make a play.

Ginn is feast or famine - Fasano will see the ball and hopefully RB sees about 5-6 looks out of the backfield - Henne could have 20 PATs..., but I actually hope that they run the ball down their throat..., have the safetys cheat and then send Ginn and Hartline...

I also expect to see many checkdowns to the running backs and tight ends.

How good is Henne with the play action fake?

i say air it out first play of the game again...

I am looking forward to watching Henne. I want to see him shake off the nerves and show the cold calculated QB everyone on the team says he is. We are 0-3 so why not right? Honestly i want to see him flushed out, i want to see him step up and avoid a sack, basically i just want to see how he responds to pressure in a game he is actually prepared for.
GO CHAD(2)!!!

The beat writers have raved about it. I do recall watching one PA from the Chargers game where even the camera guy got faked and followed brown when henne actually had the ball.

Obviously having 3 of your secondary out for a game isn't good, but if there is any area we could afford injuries, it's there. We are very deep. The starting strong safety is George Wilson who's started a bunch of games (you mind remeber he returning a td off Beck 2 years ago). Florence is startign at corner and is a former starter for the Chargers. Adn htere just an article about how healthy McGee is and how he is still pissed about that game Ginn abused him while he was injuried. The only true first timer is Byrd, who has been a little shaky.

IF Miami is going to exploit a matchup, it would be tight end. We shut Shockey down pretty well but Watson and Winslow have hurt us.

Look, the Dolphins are having a very down year, but I really don't like the Bills much better. George Wilson has never done a thing in the NFL and he's a marginal talent, McGee is good but he's the only player in the secondary with experience right now, and go ask the Jaguars how much they like Drayton Florence.... He's terrible.
Basically, if I'm a first time starting QB, there are not many secondaries I'd rather face than the Bills right now.

Hey man, whatever you say. The Bills are the worst, I guess. Should be an easy starting game for Henne. Not really trying to argue. But considering the majority of this group shut down Drew Brees, I'm not that worried. I guess we'll see Sunday.

Btw, I'm one of the biggest fan of Atmosphere, Felt, and pretty much of all Rhyme Sayers. Much respect.
