Just reading the forum and the fans are overjoyed to be rid of hickey and are laughing their asses off about him being the Miami Dolphins GM. Thanks Ross looks like another clown has joined your circus and now the question is will this be the ring leader? Or is that still your job?

Cleveland was happy to get rid of Belichick. We can't be to quick to judge I guess.
 
yeah because the Tb message board is a couldron of insight and intellect.
 
And there's no irony at all when people on this board chastise clueless members of another board. Nope, none at all.
 
Tampa fans are laughing at us just like NFL personnel are laughing at us. The Dolphins are the most dysfunctional team in the league right now. And you can thank Ross for it.

To be fair though round the league Belichek was highly regarded and teams were rushing to hire him as a defensive coordinator while no other team has looked at Hickey as their GM.
Tampa BAy didn't even look at him for their recent opening and he was likely on way out. There has to be something said though for working for a team for 18 years so he was good at something
 
Being a tampa fan, I maintain we did this when Kellen winslow got here and we found out soon enough. Every fanbase thinks the other is clueless. What I can tell you is we have had a drafting issue in TB for years and Hickey was a part of that and worked with Bruce and Dom closely. How big a part? Who knows.
 
The reality is no fans knows what Hickey was responsible for.
 
At the emd of the day, if Hickey can scout, and bring us a productive draft, no one will be complaining.

Let's remember, everyone was singing Ireland's praises at the beginning of the season last year.

He was the fall guy for in essence poor coaching to end the year.

We got then change everyone wanted. But when the organization merely sweeps things under the rug this is what you get.

I am not at all happy about the hire. But... we have to live with it.

Regardless there is nothing that makes him stand out as hire. When he was given more responsibility he hasn't improved the team and hiring a guy from Tampa' front office seems counter productive.
You never now it may work out, but you would think you would hire guys from successful front offices

I have no idea what he actually did for Tampa but Tampa had playoff caliber talent on the roster this year. This is not a team w/o talent.
