Looking at next weeks game, everyone is talking about how over rated Tampa bay is , and how they are so horrible....... In my opinion i think they have all the tools to be effective.. and look exactly like Miami.. Team is built in the same structure......... and skill...........
Coaching - Gruden and Saban Are very similar "patient" yet strict in their fundamentals as coach.. both are deemed to be genious's and proven winners.
QB's - Griese and Frerotte are mainly used for backup roles who have been in the league for a while and are not relied upon to carry the team, both vetrans are brought in just be efficient enough to not make mental errors and get the job done.
RB's - Caddy and Ronnie - Rookie runningbacks are obvious of the similarities.. even until this day , the debate upon which is a better back is going on and i dont think will be discovered for a couple years to come. Taking the weight off their shoulders in back up roles are more experienced Pittman and Ricky (this is somehwat an offset comparison as i believe ricky is gonna return to his old form) but if he flops which most experts are predicting i think he could have similar stats to Pittman
FB - Heath and Alstott both have great hands who can get the short yardage when needed, even though heath is yet to be used in goal line situations.
WR's - I believe our Wide outs are slightly better as our third as welker has been so much more clutch than a washed out Ike hilliard. But I see alota similarities in the style of play of chambers and the dangerous michael clayton.. both are rising stars who can make big plays at big times... Marty booker and Galloway as 2nds are Veteran guys who are over the hill but dont seem to be slowing down and are still showing tehy can put up big numbers.
O lines - both can be beaten but are big time improving unit's playing Much better than last year on both providing holes for the runners and pass protection .
DL - Both teams have an athletic debatable top 5 DE in the league with Simeon rice and Taylor....... sittin beside a MONSTER VETERAN DT who specializes at stopping the run with mcfarland and Trailor.. Hovan and spires also past proven DL's who can still get the job done and bring some heat like Carter and holliday.
LB - Derrick Brooks and Zach fight every year for the most tackles in the entire league and are as Stingy and smart as they come. Both are paired with A younger guy learning the system (crowder, Cooper) and have a GREAT aged tackler far side in Seau and Quarles who when healthy provide similar stats.
DB's - Ill give the egde to the Buc's in this department even though Daniels is looking like hes a fine fit in a dolphins uniform so far. Barber provides Pro Bowl Capability similar to Madison but both are seemed over rated by the rest of hte league and are not seen as a Top 10 CB in the league. Bolden is a sold CB for the bucs and could hurt us more than Travis if he isnt on his game. Im far from impressed with the talent of our safeties especially in the game against carolina where Steve smith burned us so often , and Dexter jackson is in my opinion is a more consistent shulters.... Gus is going to have to be on his game.
Special teams - The only real "MAJOR" advantage in this game is going to be special teams........ our kicking staff is much better than the buc's if donnie jones can get that ball up in the air a bit more , Welker is beyond clutch and i have a feeling he could take one to the house........ Very shortly.......
But overall , if u look at everything about this team , we gotta go into this game seeing it as an even matched affair , this game is going to be way too close for comfort and will come down to who makes the least mistakes..... Especially if caddy is healthy and can start......... Let's not get too pumped up and count down a W.... that hurt so much more from thinking that we woulda walked all over this bills this past week. This Team is our identical Twin and we know that WE CAN play like a Playoff team....... SO BRACE YOURSELF!
