Instead of bashing our line , i think we need to give credit to the tampa D- line. I dont think there is much need to worry here ppl, yea our line got dominated yesterday but we are missing a key part of our line and some of these o liners are all playing new positions and a new system. Jake long will make this line better, i dont think its an issue of our line sucking, its more of tampas defensive line is just that good. We did pretty good against carolinas D-line so this line has a ton of potential, imagine long in there? Against the falcons we did bad also, but it was the first preseason game and we barely played a quarter. No need to get worried folks. Our line is above average.

Doesn't make me feel better that any DLine with half decent talent will tear through our line.

I appreciate the positivity. But Long isnt gonna make Columbo good, I agree that theres no reason to walk the plank just yet, but if we cant find someone other than Columbo, or even a RG and move Carey back to RT(even though hes been straight *** this preseason) then we will be in some trouble come week 1.

And I agree, Tampas line looked effing huge yesterday, I will be keeping an eye on them this year because of the way they mauled us lol. But all in all our line week 1 will look nothing like this, in terms of names and ability alike.

not sure if the blame should always be put on colombo though, vernon carey seems to be more of a problem than colombo.

i siad it before the game and i'll say it again. if these guys didnt show something to their fans last night, then they would be looked at as downgraded. I havent seen the game, but sense this is just preseason same ol again. home team plays for home fans so they get off the snide.

So then Henne (who apparently sucks) throws a 60 strike to marshall for TD and then they go....ok bringin heat cus we look pretty damn sucky for 3 weeks now.

its just typical.

There line did look good. I can't imagine that ours just made that happen. Truth is tho we are going to need to pass the ball well early and often. Mistakes in the redzone are not gonna cut it. Henne has to be good.

We are clearly weaker on the rigth side. With Long back, the left side should be fine. But we have issues on the right side. Why not move Carey back to RT? Then we just need to plug in a RG.

honestly, i think colombo might actually be better than carey at this point, carey looks like a complete slob out there man, no motivation at all on this guy. Why not sigh stinchcomb from the saints and maybe put him at RT and try out garner at RG.

What everyone is forgetting is that the Fins had the deck stacked against them this week...

Tampa was jacked up because the Patriots embarrassed them on national TV last week. Tampa Bay gave their best effort last night, in front of their home crowd. All of these factors have to be taken in account...

A previous embarrassment last week, a long training camp for the Fins, coupled with no Jake Long and new elements on the Fins offense. Meant the Fins were due for a let down. They are not as bad as they look this week, nor are they as good as they looked the week before when they played Carolina. They are somewhere in the middle, i.e average. To be great they need a few more acorns.

It's common for fans of their own team to assume their team is perfect in every way thus nullifying the opponent's talent. Tampa has a good D but you wouldn't know it by the way people talk so much ****ing **** about the Phins OL. Some of it is deserved without a doubt but both sides of the ball are professionals.

Take for example Blount's 52 yd scamper. He's a pro isn't he? He's supposed to do that. The Phins defense couldn't stop that one particular play the same way Tampa didn't stop Marshall from scoring. That's what playing sports IS.

Our line is above average.

It is not. Really, it is not. Carey is a turnstyle and Colombo is worse. Long coming back is great, but he can't play LT, RG and RT at the same time. Our offense will be awful if we don't figure out how to replace Carey and Colombo.
