Dude deserves a thread. Since Maxwell went out and this kid got time he's been great. What an awesome play at the end of the game to get his hand on that ball. Props to Reshad of course too. But with Tankersley and Howard maybe we have two young corners who play aggressive and can get the job done. Obviously there will be growing pains....but they didnt allow Julio Jones to abuse them down the stretch.

See what happens when you actually replace garbage players and let the youth or better players replace them, all of a sudden the team gets a lot better. Youth usually shines a lot more when given starting opportunities then just coaches scared to play them and them only getting a few snaps a game. Tank has been playing great and what I'm most impressed with is his desire, he's playing with heart, trying to win, that's why you see him making plays. A few more guys like that at fs, replace bobby, and raekwon back, this d could be elite.

It was GREAT to see the Tank make the play to seal today's victory. It's always good to see young players get some early success.

I was going to put out a question to see how he was doing during the game thread as i wasn't able to watch. I watched him in London and he was solid considering he probably came in earlier than expected with Maxwell sucking and Lippett going down early before season started. I used to play Cornerback so I'm rooting for him. That INT was a beauty by Tank. It looked like Jones stole it until you saw the slow mo replay. Tank got his hand in where it matters. Jones did what was supposed to and ran to the ball. Good things happen. . Puuuuurfect!

Uh, yeah but not all young players are “better” and coaches have the benefit of watching guys practice, which you don’t. This change was obviously the right call. Limiting Wake last year for a younger guy was the wrong one. It’s case-by-case.

The pass defense has really tightened up since he and Timmons got in the lineup. I thought Tank would take a couple seasons to really be ready to contribute but I'm happy to see that I was wrong. Much like with Howard last year. Gotta give props to the scouting department on their assessment of DBs so far.

Actually limiting wake last year was the right one, no need to risk his achilles and him never playing again by rushing him back, so many guys rush back and end their careers, not worth it for such an amazing player. Tank wasn't replaced as a coaches choice, he played so much better than maxwell they were forced to start him. Fact is Gase is terrible at evaluating talent, only when guys get injured or and other players come in and play so well do changes ever get made. Gase didn't even want Ajayi last year before he broke into what a lot of people thought he would although nobody thought he would be this good a lot thought he would certainly be good.

Gase watches these guys every day in practice, watches horrible starters at g, lb, te, slot corner, corner, and never replaces them until it smacks him in the face, and somehow most of the time when fans say this guy should replace this crappy starter, they are right and the youth or the vet that replaces them usually ends up playing much better than the starter was. The coaches who watch this every day can't see it but a lot of the fans can, what does that tell you about the coaches?

The fans are generally clueless. Don’t kid yourself. The Lbs were out of his control. Who was he going to play!?!? There is no viable TE option on this roster behind Thomas . Smacks him in the face? He replaced Maxwell what, two games into the year? Tank is a raw rookie. That’s actually a very quick trigger to put a third round rook at CB.

Fans too often see only the immedIate results and their own team’s faults and are too emotionally attached to be objective. The general premise that “these coaches are stupid” is asinine. The amateur “game film analysis” most fans do is not enough to evaluate what is really going on.

Just ask all the draft gurus who labelled Charles Harris a bust after three games....

Few weeks ago alot of ppl wanted rid of Timmons. I still don't know the facts and I wasn't bothered that much to find out. He's back and his play is making the difference.

Last year, any replacement for the starting vet trash lbers would have been much better, this year gray would easily be much better than thomas because gray showed flashes last year, can actually block and receive and thomas is complete garbage. Maxwell was garbage, cares as much about winning as thomas or even less, plays soft as hell, a guy who wants to win and has a lot of talent should have been an obvious decision to replace maxwell with, rookie has nothing to do with it.

Fans are def too attached to the objective and don't see what is going on, like you are with your objective of Gase being a good hc I'm guessing, because he certainly hasn't shown that so far. We went through 8 years of bs with Sparano and Philbin and it was obvious as a fire on a clear day that they were incompetent, but yeah sure, us fans never know. The fact that you can even say that is asinine with what has been shown to us with the past two trash coaches and what Gase has shown so far only shows that you are the one too emotionally attached to whatever your objective is.

Call it how you see it and try to keep the emotion out of evaluation and you come up with the same conclusion, I don't post with emotion 99% of the time unless I really see a need to, I only respond to what I see and call it straight down the line.

Maybe you should stop being bias towards coaches when its obvious many coaches throughout the league are just plain bad and many fans could do much better than.
