With the current state of the team could any current quarterback come in here and actually play very well?

I think some could like maybe Russell Wilson... but not everyone. I think Philip Rivers could and he is not even a top 5 QB. Brady definitely could.

Playing well has a different definition for different people, but yes I believe there are a handful of QB's that can play well on this team. I don't think it would necessarily be well enough for a W though. A QB that can make quick decisions and manipulate the pocket at an elite level or scramble extremely well to buy time like a Mahomes type would do pretty good.

Rivers and Brady are pocket QBs. They would not survive.
Wilson...maybe. But he would be running most of the time.

The press conferences Phillip Rivers would have after getting murdered and taking a huge dump out there week in and week out would be glorious and possibly worth the cost of admission. That guy is such a dickbag weirdo that he'd totally deserve getting pulverized on this abortion of a team.

I'm totally not watching the reality show he's going to be on with his wife and 47 kids after he retires.

To answer the question, Flash Gordon couldn't even make it work with the talent around him. There's no stopping this gape train.

Quick decisions mean crap because we can't get anybody open that quick. I could add Mahomes to it. Just like Wilson you need a QB who is good at running around, scrambling, buying time and able to make chicken salad out of chicken ****. I don't even think there are a handful of QBs who could survive and/or be effective on a constant basis on this team.

Phillip Rivers is the most overrated QB of all time.

Of course all the elite qbs would play well on this team. That doesn’t mean we would make the playoffs.

I mean quick decisions were the difference in the offense looking pretty decent in the Redskins game. Quick decisions doesn't just mean throw it to a WR, it means make a decision on what you're going to do whether thats checking down, throwing it away, buying time with your legs, look for a running lane and gain a couple yards etc.

On top of that I think the better QB's in the NFL don't just wait for a guy to get open they also throw guys open by putting it in a spot only their guy can catch it. Obviously some of those sacks are unavoidable but you also need to maximize the opportunities when you get decent protection which I think better QB's would definitely do even the non scrambling kind.

agreed! People give our Oline too much credit. Plus, our WRs and RBs are garbage
The WRs standout to me...especially Preston Williams.

We cheer his potential, yet ignore his inexplicable drops. He makes the team near year purely off potential...not production, which is connected to Rosen who is connected to the oline, whonare all connected to the OC.

No....Not with this lack of will to win by the coach and his obvious incompetence

Rogers throws well on the run so he would be my pick... however...I think there would be multi dropped passes per qtr that hit the guys in the chest.
My second choice would be Wilson...I can't believe he could have been drafted and was passed over back in the day

Flash Gordon was an overrated former Jet who barely beat a third-rate, would-be galaxy despot, cross-dresser like Ming.

Now, if he had Juan Huron to throw to ...

Don't forget the QB runs the OC's plays. I'm not impressed with playcalling
