The eagles appear to be our major trading partners these past couple of 3 years. While I feel like they have been getting the upper hand on these trades upfront from us the bigger question is why the eagles. Does Tannabum have a buddy in the Eagles organization? Tannabum should be on their payroll for sure for the favors he keeps giving them IMO. Yea I know we lucked out on Tunsil trade too but remember it was luck.

It may be nothing more than the Eagles gave the highest offer. This, like any other post is speculation.

Certainly could be just that but it does appear GM's have better relationships with certain teams, not just us but you see it with other teams as well. N.O. and Philly appear to be the favored partners for this team. When the GM has to dump a guy the coach is sick of, i'm guessing he's calling them first. N.O. just got rid of a problem RB.

not so sure we got lucky with Tunsil. He's not exactly playing like a first round pick at this point

Ozzy rules!!

Roseman is extremely aggressive, and we like to build through the draft, unlike him. I remember Philly fans thinking they hosed stupid Miami when they traded up to get Eric Rowe. Now all they have left from that trade is the Pats 4th, and we got Phillips, McCain and Lippet out of that deal lol. They sure got us there, or so they thought at the time of the trade. Philly fans are delusional, they though Chip Kelly was a God until it all started to unravel for him (back to back 10 win seasons!!!). Once Howie burns out, they will move on to the next "dream team" because they are so desperate for success, they are always the preseason champions. In truth though, it all stems from the jealousy of being in a big market division with a bunch of historically great franchises, with Philly being the only exception in that group. And no matter what they tell you (We have pre-SB Championships!), that kills them inside which is why they are such miserable and delusional fans lol.

Maybe..If we trade with them enough...we can trade T-bum to them.

Mike Tannenbaum and Howie Roseman (Eagles VP of Football Operations/GM) have history. Roseman got his first NFL job with Tannenbaum when T-Baum was with the Jets in 1999. The story being circulated is that Howie Roseman "stalked" Tannenbaum into giving him an interview.

http://phillysportscentral.com/eagles/eagles-gm-howie-roseman-relentlessly-pursued-nfl-dream.html

Roseman would study the bios of NFL front-office personnel, looking for anybody who might provide an in. At the faintest pulse of interest, he’d call administrative assistants, getting to know several by name.

Roseman’s job inquiries had gone largely unacknowledged, even unnoticed. While the rest of the NFL ignored Roseman, Mike Tannenbaum, the pro personnel director of the Jets, spoke to him.

He explained why: “I’ve got five minutes. The only reason I’m even going to spend five minutes . . . I look at my resumé file, I have 20 letters from you, and every time I send you a rejection, you’d send a thank you for the rejection.”

“Could somebody be that persistent and be normal?” Tannenbaum, now the Jets’ general manager, said recently, thinking back to Roseman’s job hunt.

In 1999, Tannenbaum’s curiosity finally got the better of him. The Jets had an entry-level opening in player personnel. Tannenbaum, then VP of personnel, decided to interview the job stalker.

“I remember Mike called me up one day,” Banner (Joe Banner, Eagles President) said. “We had agreed. You know what, we think he’s crazy. But Mike said, ‘You won’t even believe this. I’ve got an opening, and I’ve decided I’m going to meet this guy. I’ve just got to see what he’s like.’ ”
