I'm only basing this on the 2011 games vs Texas and Oklahoma, which I happened to see on youtube.

These were big games against bigger and better competition. Obviously it wouldn't be an easy game for any college QB with so few starts but the number of clear-cut boneheaded plays, and display of inaccuracy was deflating. You can blame it on a lack of good protection or a mediocre WR corps but the plays I'm referring to those things weren't the problem. It gave me flashbacks of Henne. The kid has the potential based on his athleticism and arm but dang . If the Phins expect Tannehill to succeed then I agree with the pundits when they say he will definitely need to sit the entire year, period. I'm excited to see him become a great QB for Miami. He couldn't be in a better situation (re-building year, expert QB-grooming coach, familiar offense) and I hope he prepares well enough to soak it all in.

Please dont compare him to Henne. If he turns out to be similar to Henne, were finished.

Did you just want to create a giant ****show of a thread, so you threw "henne" in there?

Is this real life?

A giant what?

Felt like venting after having my excitement deflated a bit. Excuse me. His bad play reminded me of Henne. How else should I put it? What's up with the number of sarcastic, useless, and troll-like responses these days. This is a forum about the Phins, right?

Henne would probably have developed better with Philbin by the way. Kid had talent, all these different offensive coordinators and Sparano trying to force wild cat didn't help his development.

You just put "henne" there to try and draw readership to your thread. Sensationalism sells anymore, it seems. Some bad games against Oklahoma and Texas, two teams that perennially kick A&M in the teeth with a fair amount of regularity (didn't OU beat A&M 77-0 in 03 or 04?). The team didn't match up well, and he made a few bad decisions? Well ****, he must be like Henne then, I guess we probably should have drafted a CB or DL in the 1st.

"He had a bad game, so he reminds me of Henne." Jesus Christ. People put labels on all sorts of **** anymore. The kid hasn't even taken a mini-camp snap, and already we're starting to hear the distant caws of the "he sucks like Henne" crows. Hopefully they stay in the distance.

Let's see how he does before we start giving labels out.

Henne is a great B/UP, but not a great starter, good luck Jags...........

Tannehill has a Tan. I had a tan turd once... thus... Tannehill reminds me of a turd.

Yep I think that's the formula.

Right, and Andrew Luck is a more Athletic Matt Leinart. Don't sit here and tell me there are some plays you don't like, tell me WHICH plays you don't like and why. The more I study tape and see other articles on him the more I am convinced we got the steal of the draft. This guy is a football junkie who loves to get better any way he can. He is going to every football camp and seeing every personal QB coach he can find to become the best he can be. With Ryan football seems to be a pasion, with Henne it seemed to be a job. You can look at his games from last year and then the ones from this year and see so much improvements. His pocket presence, ability to moves safeties, looking people off, are all areas of improvement. This guy has as much talent as any QB in the draft. He is a very intelligent player who loves football and is doing everything possible to get better. It is true he is still a little unpolished but the ceiling for this player is so much higher than Henne, it is like night and day.

He's not the same type of QB that Henne is. At all. Having a bad game doesn't make him like a QB who sucks because of the bad game. It means he had a bad game.

That's like saying Tannehill is like another Pat White because he had a bad game. It's just words that don't mean anything.
