I'll let the thread title be a jumping off point until I can get to a keyboard vs my phone.

I'll just add three words: Short passing game.

Smith doesn't throw 100 interceptions & take 500 sacks a year. Also goes to the playoffs

Smith is a pretty nice methodical QB. I see some Tanny in him but he of course has more experience. I'll say one thing, Andrew Luck is the real deal, he is almost flawless.

smith has never been asked to carry a team solely on his arm....he had gore and a great defense...then Charles an a great defense

Uh, excuse me, I've been informed that sacks have little to nothing to do with NFL QB play and winning football games.

Smith threw 1 td and 12 int his rookie year and was very inconsistent his first five years in SF. Harbaugh saved his career. (older brother is a 49er fan so i watched them a lot growing up.

Smith is a good solid QB. He isn't just a short passing game guy....he can throw the ball down the field. Too early to tell on Tannehill, but he can certainly match or exceed Smith if he continues to develop.

Chiefs have play-makers everywhere. They also have a QB that puts the ball in stride. Tannehill needs ot get better this offseason. He has to put in work and I think he will. I think he has the tools and confidence, it is just about putting it together.

Be nice to see Tannehill land a deep ball that perfectly sigh.

Smith can actually throw a deep ball. Unlike Mr. Tannehill.
