Tannehill and dangerous crossing routes..

Receiver runs a crossing drag route. Tannehill throws behind the receiver, forcing the receiver to turn around, and make an awkward adjustment to make the catch. As a result, the receiver has less time to deal with the brutal oncoming collision. Result..

- 2013: TE Dustin Keller gets his knee wrecked (potentially ending his career).

- 2014: WR Mike Wallace gets popped, and loses the football.

Tannehill has to place that ball in front of the receiver, so the receiver can see where he's going.

Placing the ball behind the receiver leaves the receiver vulnerable, and increases the chance of a disastrous result.
 
All crossing routes are dangerous....regardless of QB or team
