Tannehill and Wallace making strides

Am I the only one who looks at that photo and screams "God dammit Wallace! Go up for the f*cking ball!!!"

Has he not learned anything? This guy pisses me off.

Its hard to tell from a photo but you can't deny Grimes is making a great effort to actually try to catch it.

Grimes is using hax, look at him running a foot off the ground.

it is not hard to tell. Wallace is basket catching the ball, just like he always does. IMO, he is the biggest problem in the Tanny-Wallace deep ball connection. Tanehill learned early in the season that Wallace will not fight for the ball. It needs to be perfectly thrown and beyond the reach of the CB. There is no margin for error. If it is short or even on target with the CB in tight coverage (like the photo), the CB will either knock it down or intercept the ball. IMO, this is why all the deep passes were long near the end of the season. I am beginning to doubt whether Wallace will ever justify his contract.

Hopefully he'll be hitting him in stride too.

I have a feeling Tannehill will improve big time this year. The offense, the weapons and improved protection (at least on his blind side). I'm confident he'll get it done.

It's Wallace who needs to make a HUGE stride...10+ strides into the endzone as a matter of fact. He needs to earn that huge paycheck we're givin' him this year. Time to light it up Mike..and fight for that ball!

Wallace isn't going to change his spots....he never fought for the ball in Pittsburgh either. Still, he and Big Ben hooked up plenty on the deep ball. Ryan has to be able to hit him.

Sorry but that is not good enough. He is getting paid like an alpha receiver. He needs to play like one or he needs to be gone. I'm only okay with his inability to contest the deep passes if he is contributing all over the field. It looks like that is what Lazor has planned. It will be interesting to see if Wallace can earn his salary.

I agree it's not good enough but that's the kind of receiver he's always been. Still need Tannehill to be better on the long ball though.
