The thought crossed my mind tonight that Tannehill seems to play better vs the good or better QBs in this league. So I went and checked out his game logs, plugged them into Excel and got a quick avg to see how he faired against the good QBs and also the rest of the QBs. The results backed up what I suspected, which might not mean much, but I am glad to see that he shows up well against the upper tier of QBs since we have Stafford, Manning, Flacco, and Brady coming up.

Against the good QBs he has:

  • 11-9 record
  • 27 TDs
  • 14 INTs
  • Average QB rating of 89

Against the others QBs he has:

  • 9-11 record
  • 23 TDs
  • 22 INTs
  • Average QB rating of 74

The "good" QBs as I defined them

  • Dalton
  • Luck
  • Wilson
  • Brady
  • Kap
  • Ryan
  • Brees
  • Flacco
  • Rivers
  • Cam
  • Big Ben
  • Rodgers
  • Cutler

opposing QB's affected his completion %, TD's and INT's?

your perception of causality is fascinating

did the opposing QB's dictate his the OL talent, OC talent, OL coach talent, blitz pickup talent around him too? what a great breakdown!!!

Alex Smith is better than like three guys on that list and I'm not even a huge fan of Alex Smith.

22 INT's against bad QB's?!!!! now that's a telling stat!!!!

a phrase like "causality" is lost on the FH crowd

I watched Phillip Rivers pass rush on Tannehill and it was nowhere to be seen

This is some ESPN level stuff.

WHAT'S BRADY'S RECORD AGAINST MANNING?!

moonman understands the term "causality", I stand corrected

LOL

what are Tennehill's stats against Republican QB's? QB's with small penises? Black QB's?

I feel like I am gonna get banned for taking Dullfan23 to the woodshed

Your perception of what is said in a post is fascinating....no where did it say any opposing qb affected anything. All he tried to do is see how our qb performed when facing other ( what he thought was) top qbs. This past weekend all you heard was Manning vs Brady...did either of those qbs have any affect on the others performance? Yet all you heard was Manning vs Brady. Geez, the trouble some go to to just bash someone else's thoughts...if you didn't find it interesting, just move on instead of pissing in someone else's Cheerios.

he needs a defender, but a smart one would be better

Teams with good QBs usually rely more on their QB to win the game. Our DL is our team strenght, especially when it comes to rushing the passer. All QBs have a hard time when pressured and hit often... therefore, The Fins do well against good QBs because we have a good DL that applies alot of pressure... Pretty simple really...

I am writing an app to find RT's stats against every opposing team's offensive players' religion, girth, GPS location, toe count, hair color and criminal record. you can see the results at stupid****ingwasteoftime.com

Relax buddy. Its not that serious, just put that big ole brain to work and scroll to the top of the screen. See that "x?" Click it. Once you've done that, never come back! Everyone wins. You're no longer "dressed down" by the intellectually inferior, and we're no longer subject to your fixation with genetalia.
