Tannehill's preseason playtime roughly equals 1 full Game,
here are his stats:

28/41 / 291 Yards / 1 TD / 1 Int

With an 86.5 QB rating.

I believe he was sacked only once in these games as well (have to double check that)

These stats aren't world beating folks, but they are not bad considering how vanilla teams play in preseason combined with being in a brand new system with a brand new OL.

He's been solid, to doubt him after one game is moronic though.

Solid but not spectacular. We need spectacular.

He didn't play with his main WR's in week one. He has had a rotation of lineman for the most part this preseason. And he finally had a decent rushing attack today in game three. Put that with the fact it is preseason and we had a vanilla offense.....I'll take that. He looks to be improving more and more and more. He doesn't need to be spectacular like Aaron Rodgers. He needs to play good and not make mistakes. He'll be fine.

I don't give Tannehill a pass due to "vanilla offense". It's similar for the defense too, and his one TD came on a drive that was very obviously not vanilla and it happened when that type of drive was least likely so we caught Atlanta napping. All said, he has been solid but nothing more, and while his passes are more consistently accurate than Moore (especially in the short range), he has scarcely made any real plays either while Moore has made multiple plays in both his outings that were simply jaw dropping. I find it disappointing that our franchise guy hasn't shown that much capability for doing so in more than two seasons of work, and that was one of those things I thought a franchise guy was supposed to have. He's certainly productive, I'd just like to see that other element.

68% completion percentage.. I like that

I think some need to temper their expectations of Tannehill. He's not the next Aaron Rodgers. His career will likely be similar to 2011-now Alex Smith.

Too much praise from the announcers compared to too few points. It's been a common theme with Tannehill. I see frequent threads with other quarterbacks mocked for a poor throw or poor series, but you look up and they have 14+ at halftime. I appreciate what roy miami wrote recently, that as long as Tannehill is at this level you won't see him ripping Dalton or Romo, etc.

Still, there is some evidence that we held back. The early offense against Atlanta was more varied and dangerous that anything we've seen subsequently, other than that one quick play action dart to Landry early in the Tampa Bay game. I hope there are looks like that repeatedly against New England and forward. Otherwise, the offense we've witnessed the past two weeks isn't good enough to outscore many teams, perhaps not even the 2013 Dolphin offense.

As I posted last week, the bombs need to be aimed toward Damian Williams. He has excellent awareness and speed adjustment on those throws. I was also impressed that we used Damian as a punt returner. That was one of his skills at USC. I remember he returned a couple for touchdowns. He doesn't necessarily look like the perfect fit for that role but he finds ways to make people miss and accelerate to the proper spot. Landry doesn't need to be back there on kick returns, IMO. He's a clever player but hardly a great athlete. He seems to think he's a great athlete based on the chances he takes. It's comical for a player of his speed and skill set to think he can run it out from 8 yards deep.

Good job by Williams of getting the pass, but I would think its pretty obvious that when talking deep balls, the QB is much more important. We've got several guys who can get open deep and we've only got 1 QB who can hit them there. That guy isn't the one who will start week one.

How many TDs did the offense score out of how many drives while Tannehill was QB? It's a concern and it's becoming more obvious.

Tannehill led 3 scoring drives during the preseason. 1 TD and 2 FG's. He turned it over twice

I was disappointed in RT's performance last night. The interception was horrid, as was the miss to a wide open Wallace.

Meh. I think it's fine. Preseason is just elevated practice. You don't go to win- you go to work on things and find things out. We found out our line is better with smith v Thomas and our WRs are going to be moving around a lot. Hell, that first fg last night could have been a td if we threw the ball, but Lazor was obviously more concerned with running.

That said- Tanne looks fine so far.

I don't think anything has occurred during the preseason that would allow someone to have any more a definitive impression (either positive or negative) of Tannehill or his future than he had previously. He's still largely an "I don't know about him for sure" player.

I'm not making excuses for Tannehill. A franchise QB raises the level of play of his offense. All this talk about Lazor and it looks like the same old Dolphins again. The game was boring and put me to sleep.
