Tannehill could become 2nd Phins QB to pass for 4k yards

Yesterday's 4th qtr and 2 wins on the road the first 2 weeks of December. That 's huge in his development.

What was his QB rating yesterday? Can't seem to find that stat anywhere on NFL.com mobile

Going on the math alone, if Chad Pennington would have attempted the same number of passes per game in 2008 as Ryan Tannehill has attempted this year, he would've thrown for 4,586 yards.

Yards per pass attempt means far more than yards alone.

On math alone, Ronnie Brown has the best TD/INT ratio in the history if the franchise. But...the OP wasn't talking about him.

I will respect ESPN QBR when someone can explain the formula for getting to the number they do...

I am a fan of RT. He has been playing better and there is no denying that. I just wanted to throw these stats out there....

He may rank 9th in the league with regard to that stat, but he isn't significantly above the average of the 38 QBs listed there. He's currently in the 52.9th percentile of the QBs listed, whereas Peyton Manning, for example, is in the 99.5th percentile.

This is an example of how a league ranking can be misleading when compared to a deviation from the league average.
