Tannehill doesnt seam to understand "time, score, possession"

To me, Tannehill has no passion for this game. Time and time again, there's almost nothing going on to want to win the game. Chad Pennington was the last QB to do this, getting after the defense to hold the opposition and getting the offense to be threatening even when the odds were against them.

Dan did this, Brady does it, Peyton does it, Brees does it. More often than not, a great qb is defined by how much he cares about winning.

To me, we need a qb who's going to both put it all on the line and tell others to put it all on the line. Not this /clap/clap "Let's go" when someone screws up or walk back to the bench when adversity shows up.

Tannehill did not know who was in his division on Hard Knocks. That should say enough of how smart this guy is.

I think the kid is smart. I found this to me more of a concern/indictment about his passion for and knowledge of the game. The stuff I see on the field right now is just reinforcing it. He just doesn't seem to have a natural feel for it.

I'm still astonished at that thread from a month ago, when posters were asked to trade one player in Dolphin history onto the current roster, and everyone was available except Marino. Nobody wanted Bob Griese above Tannehill until I chimed in on page 5.

I guess there's still a tendency to underrate Griese around here, particularly among younger fans who never saw him and base their impression on his current broadcasting level, or a silly idea that the game has changed so dramatically that only a strong armed Adonis need apply. Griese was a special, special player, a star on every level including college where he won a Rose Bowl at Purdue, defeating USC.

That's the problem with Tannehill. Everything is a projection, a hope, not something he's proven previously. Same with Philbin. In the early years of the Dolphins we didn't depend on hopes and prayers. There was logic behind George Wilson, who had won an NFL championship with the Lions. Shula was a young star head coach with a great resume. Jimmy Johnson had won titles in college and the NFL. As much as I despise Saban as a person, his hiring made sense. Lately we've chosen among long time also rans and then somehow been surprised when they verify that level in Miami.

I'm not giving up on him. Not happy, but he's the best thing we have on this team.

Dude that is not exactly encouraging. 14 Turnovers man. He may be the future, but he has cost us some games. I hope he now knows who is in the
AFC East now, considering he gave it away to Buffalo and New England.

Part of being young qb. Look at Andy dalton, Drew Brees,Eli manning, and Flaco. It took 3 to 4 years before these guys took next step. He's showen he can be very good. Get him some protection up front and receivers who will fight for the ball.

I want to be showen too man.

Lolololol.

Only a football fan would think that knowing NFL divisions is a sign of intelligence.

Hey I see your point but he's not entirely off on his.

We aren't talking about asking a doctor about the NFL, OK? We are talking about the kids PROFESSION. I mean this kid should've known the divisions since pee-wee football. Heck, even if he didn't play until College.

It's like asking your doctor "where are my tonsils ?" and he just laughs and says "uhhh, I am not sure, I'll have to look it up"...the night before your Tonsillectomy.

Again, I see your point here but I also see where he's coming from too.
