To little too late.

I bet he'll say "maybe we should run the ball a little more, oh, and I played WR in college so I can run too."

I think the more shocking thing is the lack of input that existed previously.....

don't mean **** ! The only game I wanna see the team win is the Patsie's game. Win the last game of the season unlike the past two years.

To little too late.

I bet he'll say "maybe we should run the ball a little more, oh, and I played WR in college so I can run too."

In all honesty, that should be all he should have to say. And if they don't already know that how they have ran the ball previously is a problem, then well, f***...

Well that article says tannehill will have more latitude regarding audibles campbell said...so we will see if im taking a one month vaca soon enough

Look forward to seeing those words put to use

seems pretty obvious that when lazor said "full autonomy" he meant it in every sense of the word

Lol, Lazor was a tyrant with the offense.

I remember when I had a coordinator tell me "I need to hear what you think works and doesn't work, your on the field not me. You are my eyes". I worked with him and we created some sweet plays and gameplans.

The next year that coordinator left for another school that hadn't had a winning season in 14 years. We got another coordinator. One game this corner was playing about 10 yards off of me and was giving me the curls, comebacks, hitches, outs, slants all day. I told the new coordinator that we should try and run some curls and outs because he is giving me so much cushion and it wasn't zone. I promptly was told to never suggest stuff to him again and I sat that game and the next 4 games on the bench. The previous coordinator that was open to collaborating ended up winning coach of the year in his first year being a head coach while leading his team to an undefeated season, something that team has never done in like 35 years.

Some people have insane egos, which Lazor seems to be one of them.

Hell with Zach Taylor's experience , Tannehill might as well do the entire gameplan

The more I hear about Lazor the more I wonder how he got the job in the first place...were we just that desperate to hire a hot name that we said "**** it, lets be a "system" team". His arrogance in thinking the system would win out was his biggest fault. The best coordinators adapt and TRUST their players, whether they have earned that trust or not, you will never see what they can do if you handcuff them. Run failed on the first two plays..."**** it, lets pass the entire game" all that does is put the defense has a huge advantage because they know what is coming. Just bull**** football...and now to find out that the ****ing QB wasn't even involved in the game planning...da ****? ****, teams will be statying far away from that dude as coordinator...he may get back to being a QB coach, but that may be his lot for awhile.

I love that in all those little incidents where Lazor would say something to throw Tannehill under the bus, it's all coming back on his character...

Lazor's biggest problem is that he had never been part of that offensive system whenever defenses had caught up to it. Hence, he had zero idea of how to adjust to adjustments.

And, as he had never been truly tested, his metal was poor quality. And he cracked. Hubris showed.

Lazor is gonna be much better off after failing miserably and being fired. He'll learn how to make adjustments. And the crucial, devastatingly crucial role that the OL plays in timing ability.

He'll be much better coach in his next gig, imo. IF he can absorb the lessons inherent in this mess, and also gain humility.

Lamar Miller is good. He's very good, actually. I dont think anyone on this forum would disagree. Throw in Ajayi, we're no longer a pass first team. Throw in the ****ing read option with both of those backs, Tannehill throws 20 give or take. That's the kind of offense I want. Stop making tannehill throw 30+ when he doesn't have to

How's Sean Payton looking now?

I'm simply at a loss for words to describe how unbelievably inept our coaching staff has been under and including Philbin. It's sad to say, but I feel sorry for anyone who has played on this team during the Philbin regime. I can't imagine how truly embarrassing this organization has been if we could see exactly what has been going on behind closed doors, in the locker room and in the meeting rooms.

Our coaches defy even the most remedial and fundamental principles for success in football. It's utterly embarrassing to hear the reality of what this team has been under Philbin. I'm embarrassed for everyone. Lazor, Coyle and Philbin have officially become the most incompetent coaching staff we've ever had.

And I will say this to establish some perspective on the situation, when Sherman was shown the door... we got rid of the best coach we had. Dan has potential, but it is obvious to me between HC, OC and DC.... Sherman was the only credible coach we had.

I'm sorry for all of us. I wish we had never hired Philbin.

Get under center. Why does the shotgun exist? It shouldn't exist -- not often -- not for quarterbacks on this level.

I remember when the shotgun didn't exist. Well, it did previously when Dallas brought it out of mothballs.

I'm not a Tannehill fan. Run the ball. He deserves 35 rushes per game. If we can extreme to 9 then why not 35, which is not nearly the outer edge as 9?

The offense should naturally perk up down the stretch, given all the home games and lack of beastly defensive opponents. Everything tends to drift back to the beginning. By all rights we shouldn't be a 4-7 team and the offense shouldn't be averaging below 20. Let normalcy reassert itself. Bill Lazor will take the fall. Laughingstock. That's fine.

Just get under center. Play action. Follow Mark Richt's lead of gorgeous basic offensive football before Richt coaches his first practice with the Canes.
