Tannehill has played in Sherman's system for years and if we fire Sherman...

Just what the doctor ordered. What QB would be successful in this garbage system?

I've been saying it for a while now but our offensive system is not designed to help the quarterback. We run the "Ask your QB to drop back and rip the ball through a 3 foot wide slit 40 times a game" offense, and that's not a good look for anybody.

Even the Patriots run a LOT of motion and a lot of pick plays to help Brady out. And they RUN THE BALL. And can block.

Well if they can put so much talent around Andy Dalton that he can take the Bengals to the playoffs 3 years in a row I think we can do it with Tannehill...problem is no one is putting any talent around the QB on this team. At least if you put talent around the QB and the QB doesn't work out then you replace the QB and everything is already in place. Basically what they did in Denver before they lured Peyton Manning there.

Andy Dalton has dropped 30 in a game more than twice in his career.

Dalton has 4 TD games.

As inconsistent as Dalton is, he is still way better than Tannebust.

i understand the addition by subtraction thinking but how does that help RT be more accurate beyond 15 yards?

He's actually pretty accurate on downfield throws other than the 9 route. He can improve that throw. I don't think that particular situation is as dire as some are making it out to be.

I think this team would be stupid to give up on him right now. We'll see what happens.

Maybe THE problem is Sherman's system. What do you think Belichek could do with Tannehill in NE or Chip Kelly in Philly?

Having to learn a new offense would affect his comfort level in game situations. Be real Nawledge, do you feel Tannehill is anything more than average? He plays well at times, then plays like ish others. This transformed WR is not our answer at QB no matter the system.

i think he can be very good. If you take alot of factors into consideration he wasnt given a whole lot of opportunities to succeed. Bad O-line. No big bodied go to receiver to go to in the endzone or to bail him out or fight for a ball. No legit seam threat. No Running game. Poor playcalling and coaching.

I mean you guys blame Tannehill for everything all the time. I just tend to look at the big picture of the whole situation.

I just like how everyone bashes Tannehill but doesnt look at all the factors that surrounded him this season.

It's not all about blaming Tannehill because this team has shown a lack of heart at damn near every position. I just don't believe the QB position is sewn up. He looked mediocre in college and looks mediocre in the NFL. So has so many other players on this team so no ones job should be safe when a team plays this bad all season.

Tannehill would be better in a different system. Something that uses play action more often and rarely defaults to empty backfield sets.

& absolutely idiotic to stay with this staff. I was afraid of McCoy because of their offense they ran under Tebow. Now in hindsight he adapted the offense to his talent. In SD he did the same & look at Rivers year. Hiring Philbin over him was a mistake. is he a great coach? Who knows, but he certainly coaches

What has he done to show you this was true???

Oh nothing.... that's right.

I don't think the staff is terrible, I think the staff is just resistant to change.

Jeff Ireland is the biggest problem with this football team, IMO, because he is responsible for all of the other problems.

Finally someone with logic and not biased hate to 1 player on a team.sport.
