Tannehill has won almost every QB battle this season. Still learning. Relax ppl!!!

Definitely exited to see what we do. Unlike most, i have faith in Ireland to turn things around with the offensive line. IMO we have 3 starters returning next year from the line and only need to replace 2 spots on the line.

McKinnie will be back for another year or 2. (We will probably draft his future replacement this year) Pouncy will be back next year and we will either move him to Guard or draft a Guard/sign one. Brenner will come back smarter and stronger next season and compete for the second guard spot and hopefully wins it. And RT is up for grabs. Clabo has done better in the second half, but is still replaceable.

Think we need to draft a Tackle and Guard in the first 3 rounds and look to add a veteran to the line as well. OT/MLB/G would be ideal if we could do that in rounds 1/2/3. There are also some really good WR prospects in the early rounds this year. Id like to draft a guy like Jordan Matthews if we can trade up in the early second and maybe trade Hartline for a third or high second if we can. Gibson and Rishard Matthews are more then capable of replacing Hartline. I think Jordan Matthews is going to be a stud and a true #1 WR. Having him and Wallace with Gibson and Matthews as the 3/4 would be a deadly combo.

I dont think we need a TE like most. Egnew im confident will take a nice leap in year 3 and we drafted Sims last year who i think can be good too. We wont waste a pick on TE this year IMO. HOpefully Egnew can break out. He has all the talent and ability to be a good TE in the league.

Trade Hartline??? BwaaaaWaaaaHaaaaaaa :lol2::crazy::lol2::crazy::lol2:

Im sure this is a sarcastic post, because most of your posts are anti Tannehill. But to be honest its true.

We SHOULD have beaten the Ravens. If it wasnt for 2 missed FGS by Sturgis.
We SHOULD have beaten the Bills. If it wasnt for that horrible line and that strip fumble at the 50 yard line with 2 mins left. That was BS and should have never had happened.
We SHOULD have beaten the Bucs. Because they are the Bucs and we came out really flat.
We SHOULD have beaten the Panthers. Had them 4 and 10 at their 20 and they march down the field for a TD needing a TD.
We SHOULD have beaten the Patriots the first game. 3rd and long (BS HOLDING CALL LEADS TO FG) 3rd and long (BS PI call. Leads to TD) 2nd and 10, which would have lead to 3rd and very long (BS batting of the ball call, leads to a TD)

17 points and which would have been good field position for us leads to us losing IMO. But you cant say we should have won all of those games. Discount the Pats and Bucs game and we should still have won a few more games this year that we lost on. Tannehill has kept us in the games and won us games despite being pressured and put on his ass way more then average all season long.

You've certainly certified yourself as King Excuse Maker of Finheaven.

There is no such thing as a QB battle in a game of American Football

I tried explaining this to him once and he doesn't seem to understand simple logic.

I think the better statistic to capture the sentiment in the original post (i.e., "winning battles" and "still learning") are the ones in the average range on this page:

http://www.pro-football-reference.c...pos_is_db=Y&draft_pos_is_k=Y&draft_pos_is_p=Y

An average performance or better overall by Tannehill this season is precisely what the doctor ordered, because it'll allow the team to focus on building around him in the future, rather than thinking he isn't good enough to start in the NFL and needing to replace him, which would of course set the team back significantly.

Obviously you dont understand simple English if your that dense to understand the point of this thread when it was made. I made this thread when everyone was bashing Tannehill saying he was below average and that he wasnt that good. I used these stats as a simple comparison between Tannehill and his counterparts to show that Tannehill wasnt indeed a bad QB and that he was outplaying the opposing teams QB. And that it wasnt Tannehill's fault for us losing, it was other reasons. Such as the Line/running game/etc.

But for him to outplay his opponent 12-13 times out of 15 games is still pretty impressive and an interesting stat.

Instead of trying to insult somebody, maybe next time just keep your comments to yourself. Because its obvious you dont understand simple english and continue to push the fact that i think QB vs QB matters and that QB's vs each other. I mean its not like broadcasters and sports news guys bring up Manning and Brady every time they face each other and their life record against each other. I guess they are stupid too for making comparisons.

I think Matthews and Gibson can both be AS GOOD as Hartline. Hartline's talent level isnt that much higher then those two. The only way Id trade Hartline is if we draft a stud WR in the first 2 roudns (there are a handful that can be really good in the NFL) and then we could use Hartline to fetch us a pick in the draft and draft a linemen or a LB.

If we were to draft a WR, it would be pointless to have WR/Wallace/Hartline/Gibson/Matthews. Too many good players. Trading Hartline would free up space for Gibson and Matthews to take an increased role and then wed just need a #5 WR.

Thats all. I am a fan of Hartline, i just think Gibson and Matthews are on the same level as him and it "could" be a good idea to get some value back for him and go for a big time WR to pair up with Wallace instead. Few WR in the draft can be that big time WR.
