Tannehill Hits 10K Career Yards & Extends Game Streak of 70% Completion to 5

Just thought I'd try to keep the positivity alive even though I imagine Tannehill will be put through the shredder now by many on this forum...

Tannehill needed 211 and got 235 putting him over the 10,000 yard mark also completing his 5 straight games of 70% completion

As I said, I'm sure he will be ripped and trashed for not absolutely blowing this game apart. Sometimes you just take what you are given and move on.

If this game waivers your opinions on whether or not Tannehill is the guy, you were never convinced to begin with and that's ok. I'll keep drinking in that sweet, sweet, kool-aid...

Thanks,
Andy

This game wavered my opinion on if Miami is a playoff team. We are going to lose by 50 @ NE and may get destroyed by the Ravens on Sunday.

Sorry fellas, I'm the biggest homer out there but this was pathetic from top to bottom.

Certainly possible and wouldn't surprise me. Lose to Baltimore 3-2 and the season is done anyway.

I think this game actually reinforced my opinion that we are a playoff team. This was a game that the Dolphins of the past would lose, especially after the 10-0 start. They clawed back and did what was necessary for the win. Just win baby!

Its one of those any given sunday type deals though. We beat an 8-4 Chargers team 37-0...You cant base predictions off of one game. I would rather win ugly then lose pretty thats for sure.

Division game on the road dude, get real..

Run D is a concern but this team can beat any team in the NFL.

it's a road win in the NFL . . . the Jets have always given us trouble, it's a rivalry game against a team that has nothing to lose, and had the smell of a trap game with the very big game against the Ravens next week . . . We have one our share of games this year looking like world beaters but you guys can't be happy with a win . . . it's easy to be a fatalist and say I told you so . . . try believing in your team even when it's not easy . . . I have enjoyed this season more than I've had since 2008. We are relevant in December !!!! Alright . . . I'm rambling . . . time to go to bed.

Dolphins will play the Pats and Ravens close if they can stop the run for the most part. Can't compare one win against one team to another team. Jets lost to the Pats 27-25, Beat the Steelers, and lost to the Lions by 7. You can never ever ever compare one win against one team. The NFL is too complex for that simplistic mindset. We will battle for the last playoff spot. Our O-line is scary depleted right now and our interior D-line has been shaky recently. It is going to be a tough road to the end.

This game did not surprise me at all. I said in the score prediction thread that it would be closer than a lot of you thought it would. While I didn't think it would be quite as close as it was, I never envisioned us blowing them out. We rarely beat the Jets by a large margin. It's almost always a tough, hard fought game no matter what the records are. A win is a win. I will take it!

Tannys accuracy has def improved a lot this season. However, chad Pennington was the most accurate QB in nfl history cuz he threw tons of short yardage dink n dunk passes. It's not really fair to compare that to a QB who throws down the field consistently. Think about how many WR screens we've thrown this season.

But in the end I am really happy his accuracy has improved bc it was a big concern of mine coming in to this season. 70% is never a bad thing for a QB, just trying to keep it in perspective.

somebody check the Pats vs. Jets games in NY lately. you might be surprised.

It blows my mind that people are seriously surprised that this was a very tight game. Its a goddamned divisional game against the Jets in their house and people expected us to blow them out? If there is ONE team that the Jets get themselves up for all season, it's the Dolphins.

By the way, this is the same Jets team that killed Pittsburg. We knew they could run the ball, have a tough D-Line and have nothing to lose. Considering how bad our o-line is hurting, you should not be surprised at all. The good news is that this team found a way to win a game that Miami teams of the past would have lost, the first game we've won while trailing going into the 4th quarter in forever. So go ahead and pout and fret that we didn't blow them out all you want, I'm going to sleep well tonight.

This was the jets Superbowl....if you watched Rex's reaction when Sturgis was being Sturgis, he was both thrilled and relieved. He wanted this one bad and his team did for him. Not our finest hour but a win is a win - especially another come.from behind one. I'll take it and hope the coaching staff makes it into a learning experience.

Did you see Rex after the game? He was in tears.

I give them credit for playing with heart and a gutty gameplan.

Tannehill needed 211 and got 265 putting him over the 10,000 yard mark also completing his 5 straight game of 70% completion which is the longest streak in the NFL.

It's actually the 3rd longest, tied with Favre. Manning has had 2 streaks of 6 games...
