Don't count
Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback
Ryan Tannehill out just yet.
Tannehill, a late arrival to training camp and No. 8 overall draft pick, put up impressive numbers in the Dolphins' first team-wide scrimmage on Saturday. According to the
South Florida Sun Sentinel, Tannehill was 10-for-13 passing for 114 yards and a touchdown.
"I thought he did well," Dolphins coach Joe Philbin told reporters of Tannehill after the scrimmage. "Again, I thought he looked comfortable. I thought he looked natural out there. It wasn’t too big for him."
Even more impressive is that Tannehill had some time against Miami's first-team defense. This is a good step in the right direction for the young quarterback. Veterans
Matt Moore (10-for-20, 65 yards, touchdown) and
David Garrard (9-for-17, 57 yards, touchdown) didn't put up as impressive numbers, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
