It might sound like I'm a tannehill hater, but I'm not. I've had hope in him and I don't think he's bad, but the question is, is he good enough? I don't think he's a franchise qb and is he good enough to a playoff qb and lead the fins and winning should they get in the playoffs? He's gotten better in some ways, but I'm still seeing limitations. He looked good against chargers because he had good time, but he doesn't always see WRs open, not always so accurate and his deep ball accuracy kills me.

Miami couldn't do **** on offense and needed one other td and as usual, tannehill misses the WR open that could have been a td. Lack of a deep accuracy is a big deal. Yeah he's had some success and a qb can have some success throwing short and intermediate passes. But eventually good teams and defenses see the flaw and they condense the field, because they don't fear a qb like tannehill hurting them deep, because he's not that accurate throwing deep. Even though Fins have a speedy WR in Wallace, Tannehill just can't seem to do it. I just question how far fins can go with Tannehill and if Dolphins need to go back and get a qb that has the ability to be more.

You're aware that NO QB has played amazing against Detrioit's D right?

Dude I don't know how you can use this game to question THill. He threw his 3rd TD pass in two weeks to Clay and all three were dropped

Maybe Detroit has a good defense?

people with a football IQ below 12 shouldn't really post.

Just my humble opinion.

That was a top defense the phins just played. Tannehill was knocked around all day long. Yes, he made some mistakes (one big one in particular) but given all the circumstances, he was solid today.

So you don't limit your awful posts to the PoFo than

He wasn't bad, but is he good enough to lead the fins. That's the question. It seems like fins need a very good qb to be a playoff contender and I don't know if tannehill will ever be more than he is. He still doesn't always seem to find the open guy, or not aware of pressure or holds on to the ball too long. There were throws where bad ball placement cost what could be first downs for dolphins. I've been a big tannehill supporter for the longest time. I'm just criticizing him now, because he still seems inconsistent. His lack of deep pass is killing me. Tannehill hasn't played good defenses after bills game so he's looked better. He plays lions and look what happens.

Sure the playcalling helps tannehill when they have him throwing short and intermediate passes, but won't that catch up when fins play a good team and defense like the Lions? Defenses can condense the field and make it hard for intermediate throws and WRs to be open in middle of the field, because dbs aren't worried about the deep pass. As we've seen Tannehill STILL hasn't improved his deep pass accuracy and the question remains will he ever be a complete qb or we are seeing his ceiling now?

Yeah they do, I just wish tannehill could be more accurate.

I know a lot about football and it seems like I'm bashing him. But all the posts that have dissed him, I've stuck up for tannehill. I'm just tired of his decision making sometimes and inaccuracy. I do think most of the blame was playcalling though as fins for a good portion of the game were not helping miami. The game was so ugly offensively.

I was hoping to see something special. 3rd down, last few minutes, if miami gets first down, fins would have a big conversion to milk down clock. He doesn't though. I was hoping to see him be savior in the last minutes but he wasn't.

Ive questioned RT earlier this season, but not today. He was a warrior. I think the coaches should have had him roll out on the 1st couple of drives, just to gauge how the Oline would fare against Suh and company. They hung him out to dry.
He threw a pick, but you could sense how competitive he was when he chased down the DB ( wont even try to spell his name). With 98% of QBs thats a pick six. Instead it resulted in beautiful int by Grimes after Detroit took possession.
The only criticism I can level, and its a minor one is that he rushed his throw to Clay ( that he dropped) on that final pass in the endzone. RT had scrambled right and possibly cou.d have run to the pylon and scored. If not, he had time to wait for Wallace to get open behind Clay.

I do like his toughness though, like when he ran down the lions player to save the td. I know it seems like I'm basing it strictly from this game, but it's more overall, like his talent and limitations I'm seeing that he still hasn't seemed to improve. His accuracy still bothers me. A qb can only be so good with sketchy accuracy. The franchise qbs or very good qbs, they are accurate, short, intermediate and for deep passes. Quicker decisions and less hesitation as well as better feel from the pocket and where to look. He's gotten better in someways, but some things still haven;t improved and I'm wonder if and will they ever. Which if they don't then he might not be good enough for fins to win a playoff game or go further. It's more than a qb winning you games, but taking your team all the way or show that he has what it takes.

Clay dropped that pass though and that was definitely on clay in the endzone there.

That was funny. lol

This was your takeaway from today's game? Probably good you don't post here much.

No it's more about tannehill's ceiling. I don't think he was bad today and I know lions are a good defense. It's the question of whether tannehill has hit his ceiling, because it;s his third season and somethings that seem improved he reverts back to after a few games and the accuracy. When is he going to put it all together? Shouldn't his accuracy be better by now into his third season?
