I have been a Tannehill supporter and defender. But now I see some of the things everyone is saying. Just watch the INT before half. He had three WR top left and they only had two DB. He looked right the whole time, even pre snap. Then throws right and INT. Pretty bad

He rakes up a ton of easy completions and yardage when the play design gets the 1st option wide open and he gets the ball out quick. Once the play is in his hands and he must make decisions and or move in the pocket to avoid pressure, it is all over. Tannehill is a disaster.

He has no pocket presence, no awareness, no ability to throw a ball with air under it, no anticipation, and no ability to make plays when the games matter most or are on the line in the 4th qtr. He is a terrible QB.

And all I need to see to say that coaching and the offensive line are 99.9% is this whole season so far...

That play sealed his career. He is done.

There has to first be a pocket to have a pocket presence!

he's not terrible, but you're right about everything else. oh, you forgot the inaccurate part, though.

Imagine what Tannehill could do if he didn't have to play constantly from behind. I am not saying he is the long term answer but he is leaps and bounds above anything else we have or can get. Tannehill is a streaky qb who can dink and dunk which has been proven to be vastly successful in the NFL. What he is not is a guy you can count on to come from behind and win your games solely on his qb ability. It is what it is. When this thing blows up and another regime comes in here or whatever happens, odds are he will be better than what is available in free agency or immediately in the draft. Like it or not, he is our qb for at least the next 2-3 years.

That play was beyond awful. Two obviously uncovered receivers to the left because of a blitz and he tries to force a throw right into double coverage. With as bad as this team played, the game wasn't lost until then. It was after that.

I've seen similar plays from Qb's of a higher caliber such as Luck and Manning. What I haven't seen is Tannehill ever have even a single full game of the good plays that one of these guys can bring. Even his best career games involved mostly dinking and dunking and after getting ahead in a game failing to keep up pressure and seal a win early.

Imagine if Tannehill didn't have to play from behind? That's practically the only thing he seems to be good at. We worked our way back to make that game versus the Jags a 20-20 game. What came after that was nothing. Today the mold breaks and instead of having our defense give up a TD before the offense touches the ball, like what has been happening, he goes three and out.

Tannehill's worst play throughout his career has been in the 4th quarter. This is usually not the time when he is trying to come back, as truth be told even though Philbin's teams typically start slow, they usually work their way back in it. The 4th quarter is when he is trying to hold a lead, or trying to just execute a chain-moving, balanced drive, and this is when he starts choking, overthinking things instead of just airing it out with nothing to lose, and whereas he seems to hit 15-20 yard bullets with ease to work our way back in, in the 4th quarter he is suddenly unable to hit a simple 5 yard pass.
